One of the first contacts I had with my new home town, when we moved from Toronto to Lunenburg in 2002, was Beulah at the Lunenburg Post Office. She was friendly, professional and helpful.
That was just as true when I met her in person a few months later, after our move. Since then Beulah, Nancy and all the post office staff have been an important part of our lives, because living in the town of Lunenburg we don't actually have door-to-door delivery! Every week day I go to the Post Office, check my P.O. box and meet my neighbours and friends there. It's a ritual of our small town life.
The Post Office loses the fifth star because of Canada Post itself -- it's expensive and often frustrating, especially for parcels.
But the staff are great, overall, and there's a good selection of post cards, commemorative stamps and coins and packing materials. read more
