Bar Bestard is right in the heart of Lloseta and serves as the tiny town's cafe in the morning,…read morecheap eat hot spot by day, and bar by night. It is stuffed to the gills with locals, so don't bring any tourist shenanigans through the door (they will not be tolerated). The locals bring their dogs and kids. There is a lovely fountain out front. It is across the street from a beautiful and ancient church. There is a jukebox and plenty of televisions to watch the match. The bathroom is clean.
Lunch is pretty standard fare for Spain. Baguette sandwiches of varying types (the best is the one with mussels on it) all for less than 6 euro. The coffee in the morning made the day possible, and our waiter knew our orders by the second day. That was what was so great, in a few days time, we were treated like locals. We spent our last evening enjoying a pitcher of ice cold sangria. It was heaven.
They take all forms of payment, but don't try and pick up your single espresso on card, they will demand cash. Good thing there is a bank down the street with an ATM.
