It's the most precious little shop with floor to ceiling books. As the name and sign suggest, the head employee is Bear! The biggest, most precious dog you'll ever meet in a bookstore. He will be in shop greeting customers on occasion. Gabby does an amazing job keeping fabulous stock of books for any and all readers. I can ask her for a suggestion in any genre, and she can rattle off several. She hosts all sorts of events, local author book signings, book swaps, etc. She's SO personable and friendly. If there was ever a person absolutely meant to own a bookstore, it's Gabby & Bear. The prices are also incredible. You'll get a book for a quarter of the price at any big box store, and it very well could be brand new and fresh off the press. This shop is a much needed and much loved stop in Muskogee. Let's keep her in business forever and ever.

This is a steal because for at least this week, 90% of it was originally from target. I spent $30 and got probably $200 worth of stuff retail. Clothes, shoes, super nice threshold brand candles, etc. They have a section in the back called the vault with bigger ticket item things like furniture, luggage, bedding, etc. and today was an extra 35% off that stuff. Instead of honoring the business agreement we made, I was spoken down to and offered "charity" because I am homeless, as if I should simply accept being treated unfairly. I was not asking for charity. I was asking for a business to honor the deal they made with me. Being homeless does not make me less deserving of honesty, dignity, or respect. I still hope the business chooses to do the right thing and honor the original agreed price.

They had fresh produce from local farmers. We try to support the local farmers as much as possible and always enjoy produce that is fresh and without chemicals added. The antique shop had everything from the 1920s up to the mid 1980s. The prices were not bad either. We spent well over an hour in the little shop taking on all the past history of items that were up for sale. If you are ever in Cookson I would suggest a visit to this antique shop even if it's to bring back happy memories or even a few fruits or vegetables.
