Had I known about the price for the hotel/hostel, I probably would have chosen that option. 1) The place operates as cash only 2) They offer breakfast but that begins at 8:00am. 3) To get to the place, take the U7 to Holzhauser Strasse; take either bus X33 or 133 in the direction of Rathaus and pay attention to the bus' stop info and get off at Gartenfeld 4) The driveway (Gartenfelder) is not paved and not lighted 5) Yes the location is near Tegel airport but the flights stop after 11:00 pm, oh and within zone B (for your bus ticket, pass) 6) The bathrooms are super clean and the shower water VERY HOT.

This is also to where you can easily get to by bike, being with family and kids coming from Berlin within the distance of a relaxed first day's ride. Actually, the place is also beautiful and convenient for putting up the tent and staying over night. There is a lake inviting you for swimming and, in front of it, a quite huge natural beach with fine white sand. This is ideal for playing with a Frisbee disk and running into the water. A disadvantage is the relative closeness of the motorway. You can't see it, but sometimes you do hear.
