A pretty big and anonymous camp, more suitable for caravan trailers than for bicycle tourists like…read moreme. The setting up of caravans or tents is strictly ordered in straight lines, a bit like a parking lot. Don't be fooled (as I was) by the address Wiener Straße. The street runs through central Linz, but it is very long and number 937 is actually more than 10 km outside Linz!

By far the best camping spot that I have found in Lower Austria. Situated right next to a huge…read morelake, BBQ next to the camp site, camp fires, great sized and clean rest rooms, excellent showers, a small shop and a small but good little dinner. The water is warm and boats/canoes and the campsite also offers wind sailing classes. The camp site is rather large and offers shady camp sites or sunny ones as well. Just awesome!
We really enjoyed our spontaneous stop at the Steckerlfisch. Friendly people served a great fisch…read moregrilled on a bbq! We took a walk along the donau after our lunch and were suprised by the beauty of the Danube and her surroundings.

New train station. Already a shady place. The best collection of weird people Linz has to offer…read more You can choose among alcoholics, chain smokers, loud immigrant youngsters or the occasional punk. Not to forget the poor homeless people that act like they own this place. The parking garage is a urinal, and you need guts to cross it at night. And better hold your breath for a while, it stinks. It would help to remove shady businesses like alcoholics bars, mobile shops and smoking lounges. But obviously the owner ÖBB doesn't care.
