The first part of the experience was great, the sales person who helped us was Ade, he was very helpful and technical about my questions. The few issues we found with the camper were fixed before we pulled off the lot. HOWEVER this is where things declined, once we pulled off with our camper after being persuaded to purchase additional services that would cover future issues with the camper. We have had a difficult time getting an answer or phone call back. Low and behold, because the camper is not connected to water, we had no real way to see all the issues. Our toilet leaked the very first time we connected to water. It is from the inside of the toilet so the toilet needs replacing. We called them a week after pulling it off the lot, and one of the service reps who is a woman was quite rude. Said they can't get us in for WEEKS and we need to tow it back from being hard docked at our lake place. I highly recommend making them connect the water, run all your faucets and flushing your toilet. It took one time going to the bathroom in our camper for it to smell less than good. If I were you, please genuinely listen to the advice of the other reviewers before purchasing. All the extra fancy stuff they talk up, NOT NECESSARY especially if they can't be bothered to hold up their side of the deal. Absolutely pitiful service department representatives. After the first time calling and being told they would call us back, we haven't even got a person on the phone the third or fourth time. Mind you we call during standard buisness hours. We purchased a new camper with the understanding of how things would go. We showed up announced at 4pm and we were to do the walk through and sign papers, which took 30 minutes and then we waited the next 2 hours to sign the paperwork that should have been ready (might have taken longer if it wasn't closing time). The walk through created a list of things that needed to be fixed, they were not upon delivery and still are not. We have no heat for starters! The camper was a hold over from last year and was not even cleaned!!! Fireplace log is broken, but we were told is was suppose to be that way... NOPE! Gouges in drawers, blind hung only partially covering the window, stairs peeling etc... Nothing went as planned. From them running us through 5 banks (without our knowledge, as we told them we were going through our bank) to lying about delivery and set up. When the camper finally arrived, we were under the impression (as this is what we were told) that the camper would be set up and blocked at the same time. Yet, another untruth. We waited more than a week to get things set up by a gentleman, who is the 1 of 2 people that led to any of kind of positive experience through this whole ordeal (the other was the delivery man, neither employees of Camping World). Camping World had stated on quite a few different occasions that they had reached out to the set up guys to no avail, yet, another untruth. The first correspondence they had with him was 2 days before he arrived to set the camper, not 2 weeks as Camping World employees had stated. This gentleman has been a godsend, even though he is waiting on a part to fix our heat (sad that it does not work when it is a new rig), he has done his part every step of the way to ensure that our camper does in deed get the promised to us list completed (he has to wait on Camping World- could be awhile). We were lied to by everyone actually employed by Camping World. Tyler, Bernard, Wyatt, and now the manager Tammy. The endless meaningless apologies are the only thing they seem to be able to deliver!! The knowledge of employees is definitely subpar at best. You would think they would need more than basic knowledge of their campers (here's how to open the door and turn on the water), but experience has shown me that you can sell anything if you just bs your way through it!!!! I won't even get into the ridiculous "warranties" that cost more than your camper will be worth in a year ( well almost). Who sells a new rig without a manufacturer's warranty.. Camping World! Had to pay for a manufacturer's warranty. Absurd! If you want a quality rig with any kind of positive customer service from a dealership, I would steer clear of Camping World. Purchased a camper today only because they had the exact one we've been searching for for a long time. positives: - the salesman assigned to us was on time for our appointment negatives: - salesman definitely could have been more knowledgeable about feature comparisons between the two models we were there to decide between - on two occasions the people who scheduled us for the appointment stated we could purchase and take it home the same day as our appointment quoting a TWO hour turnaround. In reality, 6 HOURS after saying yes to a camper we finally left the dealership. Definitely feel baited by the over promise of a quick turnaround just to get us there. - our "walk through/tour" of the camper was nothing more than us looking around; no real transfer of information - after walking through we waited an hour for the finance officer, Jesse; who had already worn out his apologies a few times throughout the day about being sorry/understaffed/it's Saturday/etc...(fyi Saturday is a great day for regular people to buy stuff. staff your business) - THE MOST DISTURBING part of our experience was the way Jesse treated us after declining his pitch of the extra warranties. He told us we were stupid to not purchase anything additional and ensured us our (brand new) camper would have issues/fall apart/etc., to try to scare us into making an expensive decision. When we replied that we didn't like hearing that he was guaranteeing a breakdown, he told us he was a realist. We should have walked out :( To top it off, no one we worked with - except the service guy who opened the shop doors for us to finally leave, made us feel appreciated. He celebrated our purchase with us, took our picture, and wished us a safe drive. Everyone else passed us around like we were a huge inconvenience and they just couldn't wait to be done, get their paychecks, and go home. This place has poor customer service, the online shopping is a joke. They offer discount codes to sign up for the email and money off to sign up for their card. They are not upfront with the fact a lot of stuff you will not be able to use the promotions on. read more

Go literally anywhere else. In the spring of 2020 I ordered a pop up camper to be built and delivered to camping world. I was told it would be done in about 8-12 weeks, and was expecting it mid-August. When I asked for an update when August rolled around, I was told that "because of Covid they were having a hard time getting drivers to deliver the campers but it should be here soon". Another couple of months went by and I asked again for another update - this time in person. I was told "the fridge should be getting put in this week and it should be on its way". I did not receive any news of my camper until there was snow on the ground and camping season was over. In February of 2021 I was browsing another local dealership's site and noticed they had just gotten in a few of the same model of pop ups I had ordered. I again asked for an update and was told it should be arriving soon. I then called the other dealership to see if I could get one there instead and they were happy to help. I went in to ask for my deposit back and a copy of my purchase order from camping world. I received my deposit back AND a COMPLETELY BLANK purchase order. For all anyone knew I could have ordered a boat. My camper was never ordered and every update I received was complete deception. When I decided to upgrade to a hard side travel trailer, I found the perfect one - unfortunately at camping world again. I decided to give them another chance. (I will say - Matt, the salesperson I worked with was great). I purchased the camper and it took them over a year to get me plates and the title. The title was lost - but magically appeared in the bottom of the finance department's drawer after multiple phone calls and (again) multiple empty promises that it was "on its way". Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I will never go back to camping world in West Fargo and I suggest you don't either. There are many other dealerships in the area, please do not feel like this place is your only option. read more

READ BEFORE YOU BUY We purchased a camper at Camping World this week. It was the worst sales experience of our life. I rarely write a bad review as I understand sometimes mistakes are made but the sales practices at CW were predatory, baiting and unethical. Not to mention the underwhelming customer service we experienced. We've been looking at campers for a few weeks and were working with one salesman. We remained loyal to the initial person who helped us since he gave us his time. Well, he was very inexperienced and tried hard sales techniques on us. Zero interest in discovering what our needs were to provide the value we were looking for. Which, fine, we can look past this. It wasn't until we started discussing price and options that things got very shady. He asked what payment we needed and we provided that to him. Well, I'm in finance and I can guarantee everything he did, was illegal. He provided our numbers to us without terms included. I'm putting this in bold as it's important. WE ASKED IF TAX TITLE AND LICENSE WERE INCLUDED IN THESE NUMBERS AND HE SAID YES. Well, that was not the case. They would not give us the terms of the loan, yet asked for a deposit. The day came to pick up the camper and we asked again to see the terms. They did not have these readily available and wanted us to go walk through the camper and hook it up to our truck first. This seemed odd. So we did that and the camper was FILTHY. This is a brand new camper and it had urine in the toilet, around and on the floor, and appliances weren't clean. There was dust everywhere, dirt all over the floor, and nothing had been cleaned and wiped down or put together in a presentable way. It was disappointing. You shouldn't have to clean a new camper, or a used one from a dealer for that matter. Anyway, my husband went back in to sign paperwork. What was found in the documents was certainly a surprise. Several hidden fees were added, even after we were told there wouldn't be any. We had another $300 in equipment to purchase that no one mentioned. Paying fees isn't a bad thing. We fully understand it's part of the purchase. However, there was ZERO disclosure of this. We were lied to and swindled into believing one thing, when it was in fact, another. With additional undisclosed fees, we spent $3,200 more at closing than we were told. We specifically asked if the price discussed was the final number and it was communicated that is WAS. We had to originally put down a $1000 deposit and considered walking away and letting Camping World keep it because of this experience. If you buy from them make sure you clarify the terms in advance. When they tell you tax and title is on the initial quote - ASK WHERE. They were dishonest in most stages of their process and we didn't even get a thank you from the salesman after we purchased a relatively expensive camper. Highly disappointing! read more

The only positive is they were open on Memorial Day. But the staff couldn't care less. I got stranded in Fargo due to a camper frame issue. I was at the door right when they opened. I explained my stranded (with dogs) situation and the service guy quite rudely said they were booked out 4-5 days but he'd have a service guy look under the camper. So at least they identified the problem but they don't work on frames, at least not for the brand of my 2017 camper. And they don't do welding at all. They came across as a kind of place I'd rather not do business with. read more

If you enjoy really poor customer service, this place for you. We explained the type of camper we wanted and the so-called salesman spent way too much time searching on his list, no questions to clarify anything, and never did say if they had a camper to meet our specifications. The salesman said he needed to check on something and he walked over to another area and appeared to be drinking his coffee with other workers. We waited awhile.
