I've purchased a few items for my Travel Trailer from Camping World at a different location, but this is the first time I've needed them for service. Mariah is a goddess! My travel trailer lost a wheel on I-65 about 3 miles from the Hwy. 59 exit. After sitting along the interstate for 4 hours, and several attempts to find a towing service we were finally able to get it towed to the Camping World in Robertsdale AL by 6:00 pm on a Monday. Tuesday morning we went in to see if they would be able to fix it and how long it would take. That's when we met Mariah! She took a few notes, inspected the damage and immediately got 2 service technicians out to look at it as well. Mariah said to give her time to call around to see if they could get parts, and she would stay in touch. I got several calls with updates through the morning and by early afternoon she called with an estimate for cost and timing. By 3:00 the trailer was repaired and we were back in the road to our destination. We anticipated it would take several days and drain our budget. Mariah got us back on the road in 6 hours (from when they opened on Tuesday morning.) and the cost was reasonable as well. She deserves a raise! read more

I am not quite sure why Camping World has so many negative reviews because we had an extremely pleasant experience! Everyone at the dealership was extremely friendly and professional. Our sales rep, Antonio, answered all of our questions honestly, and the sales manager, Brian, made sure to address any issues or concerns we had about our first RV purchase. Chris was diligent while doing a final walk through and showing us how everything works. He also made some great recommendations for first time use down to protecting our screen door from the puppy. Doyle helped us finalize the deal in the finance office, and he also answered any questions we had regarding the terms and warranty. We were completing our camping stay in Summerdale Al on 6 Mar 2026. We stopped at this Camping World (CW) to fill our propane tank. We have a 2003 Class C Fleetwood Jamboree and were towing a CRV. We were hooking up the tow and had major problems with the connection. We went inside to the service department and Caroline met up to assist us. At first we thought it was the 7 to 5 connector but after further discussion were unsure. She offered to come outside and test the power coming from the rig. Long story short it was decided to take the rig back and do a diagnostic test to confirm exactly what was going on. Big shout out to all the folks that helped: Brian, Shannon, Wes, Dave, Ron, Caroline, and the awesome service tech's who completed the work Scott and Todd - you guys ROCK!!!!! The issue was resolved and repaired in record time!! Pricing was VERY reasonable and these 2 retired Army Vets want to say THANK You! WE appreciated the customer oriented attitudes, technical expertise, promptness of service and understanding of expediting the work so we could get on the road to head back home. I purchased a Montana from here about five years ago. I came in today, minutes ago, needing a part for my current camper and wanting to see the newer Montanas, possibly one with bunks. The salesman Antonio did not take me to be a serious buyer. I'm not sure why, if maybe because I was dressed down today, but I was questioned in such a way that made it clear I wasn't considered a real buyer and wasn't welcome to take up his precious time. I will never purchase another thing from this business, and I will make sure anyone in the market for a camper does not shop here. More so, I believe management needs to review Antonio's customer-service practices, possibly for discriminatory actions. read more

I didn't get any calls to let me know they couldn't get me financed through their banks and was refunded my deposit and they sold the camper. I had financing available through my bank but was going through their's as the payments would have been lower. horrible customer service read more

We made three trips to Camping World in the past 7 days. This is our experience. I will update it in the future if need be. Tues, Mar 21, 2023: Husband and I went to a few RV dealers to look at campers. Camping World was the last one we visited. Something you need to know - you can't just walk around and look at campers. Upon arrival, you'll check in with the receptionist and she gets you a salesman. He takes you to his office to find out what features you want, what vehicle you're pulling it with, and your budget so that he can narrow it down. In our case, we got Daniel Allen. Super nice guy. He took us out into the RV area and showed us a few different ones with the features we wanted. Then took us back to his office to discuss pricing and numbers. We still weren't sold on the idea of buying yet, so we left with his contact info and some things to think about. Before we left, his manager came in (Tyler) to see how our experience was and if there was anything they could do to sweeten the deal to get us to buy. We said we just needed time to think and discuss and budget. All true. At home that night, we decided that we did want to move forward with it so we called Daniel back and put down a deposit over the phone and said we would come back that Friday to get it. Fast forward to Thursday... I am having second thoughts on the one (a Coleman Lantern 17b) we chose so I found another one around the same price that we liked more. We texted with Tyler about it and he told us to come in Friday to look at it to make sure it's what we wanted. Friday, Mar 22, 2023: We arrive, and Daniel takes us out to see the Keystone Hideout 175bh. This is the one. My daughter came with us this time to look at it and try out the bunk beds. She got free popcorn and a water bottle. We confirmed again that yes, this is the one. I did point out two things that needed attention on the interior and he said that would be fixed before we picked it up the next day at 11am. We all shook hands and left. Sat. Mar 23, 2023: We arrive at our 11am appointment. We were taken to Daniel and Tyler. We went over some numbers, called and put insurance on the camper (shout-out to Good Sam!) and then taken outside to do a walkthrough and demonstration with another guy. He showed us where everything was on the camper - hatches, hoses, hookups, wires, cubbies, nooks, and crannies. So much information. The things I noted that needed attention yesterday were not fixed. I pointed them out and made notes about them on the walkthrough paper before my husband signed it. These things were fixed before we left with the camper. While they were being fixed, we were escorted to the retail store side and paired with one of their staff members, Angel. Angel walked us through the store and showed us all of the must-haves and the not a must-have, but super helpful things. She never made us feel rushed or pressured to get anything. We took the things we bought to the car and then headed to the customer lounge to wait. They have free hotdogs, popcorn, water bottles, and a Keurig with a variety of coffee flavor pods and creamers. They also have a vending machine with snacks and soft drinks. When the camper was ready, it was pulled around to the side of the building where two other guys came out and showed my husband how to use the hitch and the brake system and make sure all the lights were wired and working properly. This is when we found out that you can actually camp your camper at Camping World (any of them, not just this location) for up to 3 days. They even have hookups for water and power. Once everything was hooked up and ready to go, Daniel came out and took a photo with us. He was supposed to send it to us, but didn't. If he ever does, I'll add it to my review. I know a lot of the reviews on here are negative, but we didn't have that experience. Hopefully we don't have any issues like others did with warranty issues or whatnot. If we do, you can believe I'll be back here, posting an update. Until then, we are happy customers. read more

Want to commend Eric in Sales and Branding in parts for their outstanding help. I am in the process of selling my RV and when I talked to Eric, he was very straightforward on what I could expect to get was very helpful on giving me advice on what things he recommended that I get replaced so I would get a better price for selling it. Brandy in the parts department was outstanding as well. I needed to look up prices for parts she checked with Jayco on what the cost would be and even coordinated with the service department on what the cost would be to have these items installed. I have to say that the Camping World heater is awesome, had some service done on my RV previously and everyone has done a really super job. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone who has an RV and needs work done on it. read more

My husband and I just purchased our 2nd RV from Camping World in Robertsdale. Once again, we have been impressed with the staff and service. We pretty much knew what we wanted and our salesperson, Rodney Aldridge, was top notch. Although the unit we wanted was not the Robertsdale lot, he found one at another dealer and brought it in. He worked with us on our trade-in and made purchasing as easy as it could be. No pressure..no b.s. Camping World does add on extra fees..documentation, etc. but the price we paid for our new RV was fair and below what other dealers were offering. The only problem I had with them was the fact that even though a customer has an active warranty, the customer has to pay for the freight for the parts that the warranty covers. They must train the same way since they try to shame you into buying with comments like "do you want a coach or not", "you need to come up with 20-30K" as if this would be difficult for us, and other such comments. Sold a camper out from under my daughter TWICE. Once when she was there to put a deposit down, that persons financing fell through. Second when she was on her way to purchase. Offered to give deposit over the phone to hold it but they would not accept a debit or credit card, with the knowledge we would be there in a couple hours. Do not do business with these greedy untrustworthy people. They obviously have never heard of customer service or care about building a repeat customer base. I bought a 2022 Keystone Cougar 355fbs from Camping Workd Robertsdale. The sales staff provided excellent service. After moving into our new rv nothing but problems with it. First when wife lifted up mattress on bed to access storage the bed fell apart. Fortunately we were able to repair it ourselves. Next issue found out "p" traps on bathroom sinks were improperly connected leaking water on floor. After that discovered water lines for washing machine had leaks causing more water on bathroom floor. After that bedroom ceiling developed leak due to improper sealing of vent in bedroom. This resulted in a third of bedroom ceiling needing replacement. Unfortunately we had a wheelchair ramp attached to outside door, resulting having to have new $1200 ramp to be taken apart to take rv to Camping World to replace bedroom ceiling. (Camping World excellent job replacing ceiling). Upon getting rv back had to hire someone to rebuild wheelchair ramp. Next issue was water leak in living room exhaust fan cover due to motor issue with fan causing cover to crack whenever closing. Fan cover replaced by Camping World, which resulted in new cover cracking Next time fan used. Problem appears to still be motor. Camping World requested to have whole fan be replaced, but higher authority refused to replace fan. On the bright side InCommand was well setup. If you want to open the awning you have to use the "slideout" function since the awnings were wired to wrong switch. That's okay though because awning is starting to detach from rv. You have to love Keystone and Camping World HQ. Let me think will I ever recommend them to anyone??? read more

I've read all the service complaints on Yelp regarding this Camping World but I figured, Heck, I just need a simple water filter so how hard can that be? Several staff were visiting at the checkout and when I asked where their water filters were, she just motioned me in the general direction, though I was the only customer in the store. I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I went back and received the rather curt answer, "if it's not out, then we don't have it." I didn't check with the parts department because I was ready to go. I know it's a small thing, but Markus, the owner of the whole franchise is all about customer service. He should shop at this store. Lackadaisical and not customer oriented. I'm in a service business so I know and appreciate good service when I experience it. This was not. i recently purchased a used trailer there and the salesman Tyler Deakle gave it his all, even in 100 degree heat, showing and checking working parts and then showing me how to hitch it to my truck. After I was hitched up one of the technicians, Kyle, found a problem with my brake control, installed a new one, and told me if I come back to have a battery disconnect installed, he would personally do it. I am 83 years old, have zero mechanical ability but still love camping. those two young men were wonderful, taking extra time and patience with me, and I know if I have any questions or problems, I can ask for them and get the best! read more

I took my Springdale in for 2 repairs, both should have been warrantied, but of course they denied it. One was for the TV antennae which blew off the camper as we were driving down the road. The second was I noticed the roof material was coming loose. They charged me 1365.00 to fix both even though the RV was 1 year old. Today I noticed a little flaking on the side of the roof, got my ladder, climbed up and was shocked at what I saw. All they had done was glob some sealant here and there, and the new sealant had cracked getting moisture in my camper. Probably about 15.00 in sealant and 15 minutes of time. As you can see from the pictures, all they did was put some new sealant over the old. There were gaps they left and then the whole thing cracked. These people are criminals. read more

was is the market for a camper an decided to go new for the warranty an convenience with owning a camper. Had well over down payment an good credit but couldn't get a loan due to lack of credit history. after a week of no contact or any info of what we needed to do decided to go my own route of obtaining camper an went to camping world to retrieve my deposit an inform them i was no longer interested in purchasing threw them all seemed good and left on good terms. a little over a month later received several letters in the mail that basically camping world was still running my credit. i walked in there with over a 700 credit score an ended up with a 550 after! they continued to run my credit after they where informed i was no longer interested. then proceeded to continue messaging asking if we was still interested in purchasing a camper an once more informing them we where not interested an asked to stop running our credit the salesman laughed like it was a joke. highly recommend not using this place!! read more

Having our CW facility in MO winterize our super class C in Oct.- we found ourselves with a leak near the pump and no hot water thru our truma endless hot water. Arriving in Gulf Shores state park our nearest CW was 25 miles north. We had our MO service mgr. contact their Robertsdale AL counter part and who had us faster than we expected. Quick fixes for their best tech and we were out in less than 90 min. Any service location is only as good as their employees who make things happen. My Camper had a hole in the roof and we figured since we purchased our camper there, that we would bring it there for them to repair. We brought in in September of 2021 and it was they didn't even start work on it until late January and February waiting on parts and then they kept saying that it was the cold weather holding it up since all the parts were finally in. They said the roof membrane would not adhere in the cold weather. They called that the Camper was finished and we could come by and pick it up at the beginning of March. We had it home a few days and then it rained for two days and when my husband went to check to make sure it was not leaking before we put all our stuff back in it. There was water on the night stand and the mattress was wet. We brought it back and they had it about a day or two and called and said that it was tested with water and it was no longer leaking, but did not tell me where it was leaking from. They did not even talk to me, they had a third party relay the message that it was ok and I asked about the mold in the Storage compartment and she said that it was just wood discoloration!! Can you believe that and then she went on to tell me how to remove mold, I told her that I did not need to know how to remove or clean mold!! That I wanted camping World to take care of it. I called to speak to the Manager and he was not there, he was out sick. I asked to speak to the Service Manager and she called back and I missed the call. I called back again and she was on another line and I never got a call back. My claim was over $10,000 almost as much as I paid for the camper. The service there is very very bad and I do not recommend taking your camper there for service or to be repaired for damage. I wish I would have read the reviews before I took mine there. We bought an RV today. Salesman Dave Kelly was the best, listened to what were were looking for . Was friendly and not pushy. We had the walk through and noticed some things that had not been cleaned. We specifically asked about the air conditioner filter. Not cleaned. We left after signing all the paperwork to eat lunch and realized that we only had the key to drive NOT to lock the door!! Ridiculous for the dealership to not to give us all the keys!!. Called and they were delivered to us by a very nice lady from CW. As we were parking for the night , we realized that the backup light on left was not working. We purchased our C Class from Robin on March 31st. We actually traded a pull behind in so we had to move from one to the other. She was gracious and helped us get this done. She even drove the C class to the campground we were staying at to make the move smoother. After looking at the paperwork, we had some questions and concerns. We contacted the store and was put in touch with Lisa who is the Office Manager. She was prompt and courteous and very efficent. Questions were answered and handled in a very timely manner. One thing we didn't really understand she couldn't handle so she took it to the GM Mike and he handled and called me personally. I don't know if Camping World really appreciates the people they have handeling customers and all that goes with it, but they should. The receptionist, the sales lady, the office manger and the GM went over and above to make everything fantastic for my husband and I. We live in Chilton County but travel to Baldwin County quite a bit. We will definetly be back to see them all. If you are looking for that second home, find Robin. And any issues, go see Lisa. However, we were told that they price match any item that matches their website for all. BUT. when we arrived we were told that that price was only the "membership price". They finally got all the parts in this week, which the camper sat a month with nothing being done. Now we're told another two weeks, that will be three months without the trailer. We bought a camper there in November. Took it out twice and the grey water tank was leaking and has to be repaired. We took it back to camping world in January and they haven't even started to fix it yet. Every time we call for updates they try to put the blame on Forest river. However, we have also been talking to forest river and my take is that camping world does not care about our issue. The service is so bad that they basically have full time public relations people you speak with and refuse to let me speak with a manager. I will never buy from camping world again. read more

Hey Jim!!! Read this!!! My wife started feeling hemmed in by the thought of buying a house and settling down. We travel a lot when I am home. This year we have gone to Oklahoma, Arkansas Diamond mines, Gatlinburg, Atlanta, and Tampa. Anyway, I had once worked in the camping industry and knew about full timers. Thought to introduce the possibility to my wife. Our sales person was decent enough and narrowed it down to a Class A diesel or Class A gas. Now let's enter into negotiation with Jim in finance...or not. Since we were not quite ready to buy TODAY Jim couldn't be bothered to work with us. I wanted to find out how large a percentage we needed down and what the average cost of yearly maintenance was for a used Class A of either persuasion. (I regularly maintain diesel engines. Heck my generators are as large as most Class A engines.) So here's the deal. We had cash to lay down if required, (I simply wanted to discuss pro's and cons of financing either a 60K used gas or a 100K diesel and can't get the finance guy to talk to us because it was not going to be TODAY.)And now of course he won't return phone calls. Needless to say we are now looking at a small piece of property on the Milfin river and will be continuing our vacationing in hotels. Absolutely the lowest common denominator in humanity. About 5 years ago I experienced a downturn in their service responsiveness and took my business elsewhere until about a year ago when I urgently needed service, my regular source was booked, and I took a chance that CW might have improved. My service writer was Ashley Painter, and her patience, professionalism and timely updates convinced me to move all my service needs back to CW Robertsdale. I have not been disappointed since. I understand that the current service manager Chris has also been instrumental in CW providing more responsive service. And the technicians have consistently demonstrated competency and concern. I was pretty nervous about the low rating when I had to stop here for service. I had lost trailer brakes on my 38ft fifth wheel & going elsewhere was not an option. It was around 3pm & Jim in service had the fifth wheel brought back immediately. They investigated & diagnosed the problem before closing & then set me up with water & electricity for the night. Jim called the local dodge dealerships to get me an appointment because the problem was with my truck not trailer. All in all they went above & beyond to make sure I was taken care of. VERY NERVOUS to use Camping World anywhere for any thing!! We had a horrible experience at the Jackson Mississippi location. The only problem we had were our lights on the front coming off so there wasn't anything major to fix all they had to do was replace the lights and reseal them. Dropped camper off at 9:00 and picked camper up at 11:30. So I guess I would drive all the way from Jackson Mississippi to Robertsdale Alabama to have my camper serviced if needed. Beats going to the Jackson, Ms branch. STAY AWAY FROM JACKSON MS CAMPING WORLD YOU WILL BE SORRY I PROMISE YOU!! By the way, when you treat and wash your roof you must keep all receipts. If you fail to do so they will not replace a roof under warranty. I don't know about you but no one has ever told us that we had to keep all receipts for any upkeep to the roof. And camping world is in with The camper manufacturers! they must be splitting the check because camping world threw us under the bus so to speak. Brand new camper roof buckling up.....they even said it needed to be replaced, then told the manufacturer it was wear and tear!! We take immaculate care of everything we own. It was a defect with the glue. And since they would not replace the roof guess what we had to do.....trade campers. Works out pretty nice for Camping World. Who has $12,000 laying around for a new roof. I feel they are running a rack. This happened at the Jackson MS Camping World. read more
