We bought our RV from Camping World Fort Myers, and just a few months ago, we sold it back to Camping World Fort Pierce. I now regret ever setting foot in a Camping World. The entire experience has cost me over $30,000 in unrecoverable losses, months of stress, broken promises, and a serious hit to my family's financial stability. FORT MYERS LOCATION (PURCHASE): My saleswoman, Cheryl Kimmel, was responsive during the buying process--but the moment we had issues, she vanished. I called, texted, and emailed her seven or eight times for help when my unit began experiencing problems and received zero response. After months of silence, she had the audacity to message me just five minutes ago, saying she "wanted to let some time pass because of how things went." Seriously? When I brought my RV in for service, it sat on their lot for over four months while Chad in maintenance treated me like I was just another number. There was no urgency, no follow-up, no accountability. not to mention constant overlooking of issues. I have zero experience in the RV industry, but I was able to pinpoint problems. Each time I came to pick up my unit after it was "repaired". Needing to be replaced, to the generator kicking out on us multiple times, to the gray and black tank having errors, The RV, not starting in different multiple occasions. Leaving us stranded. With a little more issues that I could keep listing. FORT PIERCE LOCATION (SALE): Desperate to get out of the RV and its growing issues, I was connected with Taylor Walldrip, who painted a very misleading picture of my options. She tried to push me into consigning the RV instead of selling it--completely ignoring the fact that Camping World has one of the slowest sales turnovers in the industry. If I had followed her advice, I'd be stuck paying off two loans today. Eventually, I dealt with Alan, who was unprofessional, uncommunicative, and dishonest. He lied to me multiple times about what I could expect from the process. I live over two hours away from this location, and I strongly feel they used that distance to manipulate the situation and take advantage of me. Here's the kicker: even though I had purchased the RV from Camping World just months earlier, they charged me hundreds of dollars for a roof reseal--an absurd and unnecessary cost considering the unit should've never needed that kind of service so soon. That was one of several questionable "repair" charges they forced on me just so they'd agree to take the RV. The RV is still sitting on their lot as of today. Meanwhile, they forced me to cover the difference between my loan and their lowball offer, and walk away with thousands in debt and nothing to show for it. Bottom Line: Camping World's business practices are predatory, misleading, and financially devastating. They don't care about their customers once the deal is done. Their communication is abysmal, their service departments are incompetent, and their sales reps will feed you false information just to close a deal. They promised a lifestyle--they delivered a nightmare. If you're reading this and considering doing any business with Camping World: don't. I trusted them. I paid the price. Don't let them do the same to you. DO NOT BUY the Fleetwood Bounder 35K If you're considering a Fleetwood Bounder 35K, please reconsider. This was the model I purchased, and it came with a laundry list of issues almost immediately--from mechanical to cosmetic to infrastructure problems that should not exist on a unit of that price and age. It spent more time in the shop than on the road, and Camping World expected me to foot the bill for issues they should've resolved under warranty or acknowledged at the time of sale. I purchased a camper from Camping World that was advertised as fully inspected and ready for use, but the experience has been deeply disappointing from day one. When I got the camper home, I immediately discovered the battery didn't work, the front window wouldn't open, and the bathroom fan was nonfunctional. I had also purchased an extended warranty that was supposed to cover any necessary repairs. When I brought the camper back shortly after purchase--even offering to pay for repairs out of pocket--it sat for months waiting for repairs. During that time, the only thing that happened was they replaced a faulty battery and subsequently damaged the countertop, which then had to wait three months to be replaced. I also had to pay for a repair inspection for repairs that they were never able to complete. The front window was never fixed in a working manner, the fan was never replaced due to repeated delays and incorrect parts ordered (reason given by their service rep), and none of the issues were covered under the warranty I was sold. We were also told the damage to the paint would not be covered under the paint warranty they sold. The result? A camper sold under false pretenses of a "full inspection," along with additional paint and repair plans that meant absolutely nothing in the end. Camping World did not stand behind their promises or products. I regret this purchase and cannot recommend them based on my experience. read more

I was told I needed to have a board in my camper replaced and this Camping World just happened to have the board I needed for my camper, had it installed and ready for pickup the next morning. Once I got my camper, I opened the door to find the door to the board opened and a spent fuse laying on the floor below the board that I believe was never replaced, about $500 worth. I'm calling nonsense but I paid the bill, will never return! read more

I talked to an attorney because I was getting no satisfaction from camping world I talked to their customer service in Colorado. I talked to their VP at corporate office and since I've contacted an attorney they will no longer talk to me. I cannot get the condition or status of my RV so I guess I will have to go make a trip to their business tomorrow please please please if you're considered buying an RV go someplace else if you're on your way there now run Run far away fast. Like I said I purchased this RV June 14, 2024. I had it in my possession for maybe two weeks other than that it has been at camping world waiting for repairs to be done and not only are they not getting them done when they say it's ready, but they have done additional damage to my RV. I'm a 100% disabled vet and I deserve better treatment than this. Everyone deserves better treatment than this. seems this is the way camping world treats people because they wouldn't have the money to get an attorney in order to get their RV taken care of. Upon purchase of a new camper They even attempted to charge me battery and tire disposal fees, fees of over $1,500.00to transport the camper to their store,document prep fees $699, I can keep going in more. I won't be going back. Please folks do your homework on these campers, and there is a lot of homework to do! I have reviewed this Camping World on Google the 2nd week of April 2022. It's now July, here is an update. I received a call from corporate May 3rd. After the review from April went live. They said that someone from corporate or management would be in touch because the review was so bad. A week later the Ft Peirce GM Brent Walker called and listened to what happened, I think the poor guy was in shock after that conversation. He decided to reimburse me for what it cost me for the 2 trips that resulted in nothing getting done. Although It did take another month and half to finally get the gift card. I am going to use that gift in NH to get my generator serviced. So far only Mr. Walker has stepped up to the plate and listened to my issue. In the first week of June 2022 one of Marcus Lemonis ("if your not happy I'm not happy") staff contacted me and said " my case was being expedited", HA No one has contacted me, maybe they think that what Mr. Walker did fixed the problem. This company doesn't really care. There is a systemic problem Why are there so many 1 star reviews on this company? The issue is corporate, the training is flawed. There is no happy happy in any of the 4 Camping World's I have visited, NONE. Marcus should take a page from the "Profit" and have some outside people look inside this company. read more

Stay clear. I wish I could give them ZERO stars. To buy a new unit, they are lovely salespeople and will go out of their way to help make your dreams happen. They will call you and will maintain constant communication with you as they are trying to hook you and get you to purchase a unit. Now when it's time to get your unit repaired under warranty they will hold your unit hostage for months (our experience) with plenty of excuses and apologies and nothing ever gets resolved. Our unit has been there since March it's almost June and nothing and it was for an A/C replacement and check the fridge. Management is never available. I'm so over these people. They only move when you involve corporate or scream loud enough. I will never ever buy a unit from this company ever again. I have to say it may not be the company, it may just be this branch (Fort Pierce Florida) because we actually had a great experience at the branch in Nashville in 2022, however the appointment couldn't be scheduled right away but once in, they quickly in one afternoon diagnosed the issue, submitted the parts for approval to the warranty company and returned our rig to us. Once they received the parts they called us back and made the repairs/installations. I think the Fort Pierce branch has barely any repair technicians and they just keep your rig and look at it from time to time and don't really know what to do. So yes Corporate needs to do something about this because it's RIDICULOUS! I left a message to management today, crossing my fingers that they call back and resolve this issue. If I could rate them with negative stars, I would. Camping World, Fort Pierce is in complete disarray. They've had multiple turnovers at all levels of leader ship in the past year. I bought a Camper one year ago and it has been in the shop for the past three months. It took months to get it into the shop. I had to elevate my issues to the corporate office and even with corporate being involved it took 6 weeks before anyone at the store would return a call to give me an update on where my camper is. Turns out my camper. sat there for five weeks before anyone ever even touched it. It's still in their service shop as we speak after nearly three months. So, I purchased a used Class A camper from Myrtle Beach Camping world in October 2023 and one of the recliners did not work. they said they would order the part and send it to me 3 parts later still not working. Moved to Ft. Pierce Fl. in March went to Camping world in Ft Pierce to see if they could help, they also ordered a part which turned out to be the same part that I had already. The service advisor Veronica Gonzalez was extremely helpful and when we got to a standstill, she had requested that Camping World just replace the recliners. This Ft Pierce location is the closest to us as we live in aft Lauderdale. 2 weeks ago we called to order a washer/dryer and spoke with Mike who said everything would be ready. He did a great job because the next day when we arrived...everything was ready. We met Toby, the GM who was gregarious, proactively helpful and a wealth of knowledge. Toby even came outside and physically helped me place our new purchase in the pickup bed. Our first impression of Camping World was stellar and we were extremely happy to be new Good Sam members. Unfortunately when we arrived home and unpacked the machine it was apparent there was shipping damage that occurred. I contacted Toby, he remembered us and said return it with no problem. So today, 2 weeks later we returned and Toby was professional and apologetic even though he and Camping World did nothing wrong. Mark processed everything and was also expeditious, thorough and friendly. So in summary, all of our interaction at Camping World in Ft Pierce was exceptional and because of this, we will absolutely be returning and recommending to. Bought a new 2024 forest river wildwood from this location, they delivered it to my site, within 48 hours there was a pipe leak that flooded the Kitchen, I turned off the water, went to bed to wake to my dog coughing and a awful oder, turned oout it was coming from the kitchen and was a electrical fire. Called camping world and was put on hold only to be hung up on. I requested the GM Ryan to return my call immediately, it took 15 more calls for him to come to the phone. they sent a techincian out which he found the burnt wire harness and the pipe leak and he informed me the unit was not safe, he contacted Ryan the GM and was told to come back to the shop, Ryan informed me that they would repair this camper and I refused to have it repaired and had to demand a new RV, which angered Ryan, then he was shouting then youhave to come sign papers for a transfer, I went over only to find him more aggressive and forcing this paper to sign so he could send a new rv out that night, the problem was I had paid for a extra AC unit on the burnt camper and he was just going to send one out without installing anotherS AC. Finally the next day they had a new RV ready to come to my site so I signed the papers. Upon delivering the new unit the driver, Scott backed into the power pole and damaged the front panel and storage door, he said don't worry it was all cosmitic and it would be fixed. 2 and a half months later he brings out a used part with scratches and the says he forgot his tools. I called a Mobile rv man to come look to see if he could fix it with thie part camping world provided. thats when he informed me that the part wasnt even folr my RV it was Eight inches to short. all of this started the first week of Sept. and here we are in January nothing has been fixed by camping world and they wont even give me the panel so i can pay someone else to fix it. Service is great when you're buying a camper. I purchased an extended warranty for my camper and after a few years I had the need to use it. The service department is another animal. I tried calling to set up an appointment but no one would pick up the phone. So I continued to call for 5 hours but no one answered. So I decided I go into the store and there were 5 employees sitting at the desk eating chips. I said that I had been calling for hours and a male told me in a really nasty attitude "We don't just sit here all day, we have stuff to do". Then as if everyone heard me, the rest of the employees stopped eating their chips and walked off. The employee tried to convince me that the mechanical problems were not covered by extended warranty, but no one had even looked at my camper yet!! I guess they wanted to get back to eating and didn't want to honor the extended warranty. I don't think this is all Camping World stores because I was treated great at the store in Ocala. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Bought a 40ft Toy Hauler made by Jayco. We took it on our first trip and nothing worked. Brought back to dealer to fix 2 and a half months later it was finished but only after we made several calls to find out when it would be ready. We were told lie after lie as to why it was not fixed yet. Service manager bryan claimed to be general manager only to find out through corporate office he is only service manager whom can not even do his job and not take credit for any wrong doings. Went in to pick up RV they could not find the keys and once we got in to check things out the master bedroom was in shams. Mattress topper on the floor with footprints on it. The shocks for the storage under bed was not hooked up, Mattress tossed off. Needless to say we have made four payments on this unit and have not spent one night in it. read more

if I could I would give them 5 stars nega more like 20 negative ones they are the worst company ever. I took my RV there to have the awning replace they took 3 month to get it and while we were waiting we asked if they could change the dinette for recliners and they said yes they would charge 200 $ an hour a minimum of 4 hours we said ok. you think that being such a huge Rv dealer they would make a good professional job well think again they ripped out the dinette and threw the 2 recliners on there my 7 year old granddaughter could have done a better job. Cables pipes we just left there some smashed by the recliners. another issue is while doing that they left in screws and opening the slide out they ripped the vinyl floor. they assume the damage and said they would repair it to take it home and they would pick it up a week after They came and picked up the rv on August 23rd 2023 to this day they have it. they only have not finished the floor and the part that they did is garbage they left loose piece of vinyl under the slide out and they damaged the slide out and some of the cabinets have been damaged too. we were there October 18th to pick it up because they said it was going to be ready (floor) we arrived at 11:30 they said in 10minutes they would have it out after an hour and a half no one was telling us anything we went inside where they make the repairs and there is where we learned the new damages to our 2021 RV. I have opened a complaint with corporate not much done there I have sent all information I could to the social media people and no much done. My husband spent today 1 hour 57 minutes waiting for the service people to come to the phone no one ever did. that is a pattern with them. all this is camping world fort pierce and I had a good experience just before I bought it at camping world Dover after that horrible experience. I don't understand how they get away with all this. I read reviews here that really make you hair stand up. We have called sent emails texts to them since the 19th up to today and and of course during the 2 months and the lies and excuses are endless read more

I second and third these emotions the service department is horrible - there is no communication, customer service does not exists and it's just not fair, you get great treatment when they sell you the RV and you spend your money at the store. But when you cross that line into the service department for them to correct what was not done before you picked it up they look at you like you have two heads and you have to wait on them Had an appointment waited 1 hour had a second appt on a different day they put it under a different name and looked at me like I messed up Items noted upon inspection how convenient that they can not find their ppwk might be they filed it under another name or didn't file it at all - just a horrible experience so much so that I wouldn't even recommend buying anything here as service and satisfaction should be consistent when you spend your hard earned money read more

I initially was walked through an array of campers I thought was what I was looking for. Troy was very patient and knowledgeable on his choices, and I eventually decided on a model I thought I'd enjoy. After signing, the logistics started to fall apart, for storage and usage. I called Camping World Fort Pierce, and they were able to cancel the sale, and per my request, assist me into a more logistically smarter choice. I wasn't able to arrive until 3:15, but they were able to re-do the papers, and get me off the lot same-day. They were able to accomplish this on a holiday weekend as well! I am beyond grateful for this store specifically, and working to get me into a more accommodating camper. From Customer Service to Finance, this store gave me everything I needed. read more

I took my new trailer to Fort Pierce Camping World for repairs on the brakes- After 6 weeks of exasperation, of waiting and waiting, of being totally ignored by my service rep Miko, my calls he never returns- my visits there usually entailed waiting hours just to be acknowledged- was told 3 times my brakes were fixed, but when I drove there (30 miles) to pick it up, finding they still didn't work. So, after 6 weeks stupefied, I went in and was able to speak to Vincent, that was the first time ANYONE even listened to me, Vincent was attentive and tried to help in any way he could and told me Brian was the expert and would take over the repairs on my rig. A few days later I went in to pick it up. Brian was great, spending time with me, explaining everything he did and trailer design, etc. And although I really appreciated Brian, the work he did, the time spent with me and his lengthy explanations, the crux of the matter is that my trailer STILL won't stop. I'm at wits end, is it a design problem by Coleman trailers? I do not know what the answer is. How can a mechanical problem not have a solution. So, although Vincent and Brian were great, my overall experience there was more frustrating and maddening than anyone should ever have to go through. Xavier read more

My camper was being sold on consignment. While there parts were taken off and used to make other sales. My table was taken, propane tank racks gone, stove knob missing. I had my tires in my RV were really low while I was driving 21/2 hours to Orlando and no one at this camper world would put air in my RV tires.thy told me to drive over to a gas station which I tried to put air in the tires but would not work , then I had to go to port at Lucy tire and battery which was another mile away. They weee very accommodating. I would never recommend them to anyone. This was dangerous for me to drive this RV and they put me on the road. read more

We were sold a faulty water heater, took it back to the store. It took 4 hours to do the return and order a replacement. We were told the heater would be here next week Monday. We go to the store in the afternoon and we're told no trucks came today. The guy said needed to call manager to fix issue. We waited.......1 1/2 hours. A guy walking around in a camping world shirt kept walking by us back and forth from behind the counter and around the store. Finally a guy came after 1 1/2 hours of waiting to inform us the manager said he will have to re order the water heater. We asked were the manager was, he pointed to the man that had been walking back n forth around us. At this point my husband has had it. Walked right up to the store manager stuck out his hand to shake and introduced himself. Notonce did this manager communicate with us until he was confronted, not once did this manager apologize for anything until it was pointed out to him.
