Where as Les Genets has some entertainment on site; Acapulco has a play park, not quite the same. All the usual companies, which provide camping accommodation services in France are present with the exception of Keycamp. No campsite I've ever worked on or experienced is easy to navigate around, but I found Acapulco even more so difficult to navigate - getting lost easily. With regards to prices, the Euro is fairing strong in France as it is elsewhere in Europe. So you might find that things begin to seem expensive. In summary, lack of entertainment and a difficult layout means that Acapulco suffers more than its next door neighbor Les Genets, which you might also consider if you're looking at campsites in the Vendee.

The site has a very good pool complex complete with wave pool, new toboggan slide and a second pool with water slides. There is only one bar & restaurant on site with is a little expensive and I'm comparing this to my trips to St Tropez which cost me a whole lot less. But that aside a short walk into town and you will find everything you need. We stayed with Canvas and the accommodation is as expected, tidy and fitted with the necessities for your stay. In the evening the bar area often hosted entertainment, however for you brits there is no translation on announcements or activities - we found other camps in the area provide a short English translation just so everyone knew what was going on. If you're planning to sit around the pool and not much else while the kids play on the waterslides then this is a good park for you. P.s you don't have to wear speedos!

The campsite…read moreitself is of a reasonably large size; even if the entrance and exit can cause staff to almost run you over on bicycles. Generally, it's advisable to rent out (or in the case of most British families) bring a car - as there's not a whole lot to do around the camp in walking distance. However, there is a small town to buy food and a small beach worth a look. A number of companies work on the site, Holiday France, Key Camp, Kelair. Although if I were you, I wouldn't chose Keycamp - the staff tends to have a high turnover, which is highly uninspiring for staff. Trust me, I worked there.
