HORRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH!!…read more
My wife and I had a booking at Domaine de la Dragonierre for June 2025. We were very much looking forward to our stay, having chosen this site in part due to the prominently advertised 'flexible cancellations.'
Tragically, my wife was recently diagnosed with a recurring brain tumour, and we have had to cancel all our plans for the foreseeable future. I contacted the campsite immediately to explain the devastating situation and requested a refund.
To my profound disappointment, my request was met with a point-blank refusal, citing a rigid no-refund policy. Despite my appeal for some compassion and a special consideration given the gravity of our circumstances, the campsite has since refused to engage in any further communication, which is incredibly disheartening.
I have since learned that our lodge was re-let for the dates we had booked, meaning the campsite suffered no financial loss from our cancellation.
While I understand that businesses have policies, the complete lack of flexibility, empathy, or even a willingness to discuss the situation is contrary to the image the campsite projects.
We are not seeking special treatment, but a fair and humane response to a life-altering event.
UPDATE: Since first posting a review they have offered a voucher which expires this season which is of no help
