Klosterneuburg is a nice town, with a selection of decent restaurants and shops, although it is more convenient as a base for exploring Vienna - which is only around 12km away. One warning, when we stayed here it was absolutely infested with mosquitoes (as was most of the Danube route) - so take some insect repellent!!

Situated right next to a huge…read morelake, BBQ next to the camp site, camp fires, great sized and clean rest rooms, excellent showers, a small shop and a small but good little dinner. The water is warm and boats/canoes and the campsite also offers wind sailing classes. The camp site is rather large and offers shady camp sites or sunny ones as well. Just awesome!

It had a difference of 10EUR in price compared to the ones in Wien, but then again I had to drive into town, which was around 44km and after doing so I came to the conclusion that it would end up to the same price I haven't started this review that well, I don't want to pass the idea that this camping is that bad, it has its handful of facilities, such as a Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, Green Areas, Barbecue Areas, Bycicle Trips, Boat Trips and Good Entertainment. They speak enough English to get by, the Sanitary blocks are quite good (even if they are becoming a bit dated) and it has a good sized recycling unit. Those were the good parts. The bad parts are the fact that they are too relaxed and they allow too much noise, even when they were alerted to that, they still did not do anything at all And when I mean noise I mean teenagers from 23h00 to 02h00 constantly chatting out loud and playing football in between the tents. That isn't that pleasant when you want to rest for the next day The price range for Two Persons+Tent+Car is around 24EUR per night.

Not bad, another one of those mega campsites. Getting here, well the S80 will get you to Staudlau…read moreand then you can hop on the U2 to Donaustadtbrucke. It is only a 15 min walk from that station to the campsite following the bike path the the Shell gas station, also includes a Spar store, or take the 92B bus from Donaustadtbrucke for two stops. There are two sets of bldgs which include many toilets and showers and the kitchen has hot plates. The hot water is hot and there is also wash machines/dryers. The tent site has larger old trees around the perimeter; the freight trains run all day and can disturb some during their sleep. The prise really wasn't too high, discounts given for the slow parts of the week. The wifi is only available next to the reception office and is not password secure.
