There is no more loyalty to longtime CJ campers and poor communication. Because of COVID and heath reasons, we had to cancel our booked annual trips in Sep 2022. The airline, cruise line, hotels, and Swiss Rail were no problem. NOT SO WITH CJ. The best they could do is extend the deposit for two years. We won''t return. SUGGESTION: Get their deposit/refund policies in writing before you give them a deposit.

The view in this village is so surreal it easily makes up for it! The room that I stayed in was simple, with two twin beds and some clean towels to use. Walls are thin, so in my case, I kept hearing my neighbor every time the door opens and closes as it shakes the wall. There is only one location for showers/restroom, but it is fairly big and every time I've gone it has never been crowded or dirty. They maintain the place fairly well for what it is. I'm quite impressed. I've been to places similar to these that are not well kept, so they stand out by far with the upkeep. There is no air conditioning so fingers crossed that if you go during the warm season that the window will suffice. I slept with the window opened and didn't have any issues with bugs or anything. For showers, it is 8 minutes per coin. I put two in at first in case, but realized it really just takes one coin for a good shower. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Not much patio/hammock space, but I definitely enjoyed my time when I was able to lounge outside and enjoy the view! Well worth it. Would easily come back.

Less than…read more10 minutes by car from the town of Lauterbrunnen, cable car station to Schilthorn, several waterfalls and other local attractions. If you are lucky, you maybe placed right by the river within feet away from rocky riverbed and vigorous currents. My fiancée and I enjoy road tripping in late summer seasons and we have had our fair share of campground experiences. Camping Rütti has truly one of the cleanest and well equipped facilities we know. It has washer (possibly dryer). There is a small coffee shop by the reception. Once you checkin during their business hours, you can return to the campground late at night open the gate and let yourself back to the assigned spot. One piece of friendly advice, remember to always bring your own soap whenever you use the facility.
