Very modern, nice, clean, and comfortable hotel…read more HOTEL: Spacious lobby and lounge area and a small bar and restaurant upstairs. When we arrived, the lobby was full with a group of people that were going out. We seamlessly checked into our rooms and got settled. ROOMS: The rooms were beautiful, clean, comfy, fully equipped and had a beautiful view of the beach. We have a baby with us and they had a crib, blanket, changing pad, and bottle warmer already set up in the room. There were bath robes, slippers, and a little piece of chocolate nicely laid out on the bed, and bathroom actually had plenty of towels, which was appreciated, as well as a toiletry pack, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, a makeup mirror (whoop whoop!), and water glasses. Coffee pods, a Nespresso machine, tea, a mini fridge and a safe were at our disposal. BAR: Not great. We had dinner reservations and wanted to have a drink before we left. We sat down and waited to be greeted. There were two other tables when we arrived so not very busy at all. After a good five minutes a girl greeted us and gave us menus. After another good five minutes a guy came over to take our order. Twenty minutes later (30 in total) still no drinks!!! We sadly had to leave or we would not make dinner. We told the bartender we couldn't wait any longer and he said only five more minutes but we could not wait and we left! All in all a very lovely hotel, and aside from the bar, we received excellent service and I would definitely recommend!

We visited St. Malo from the USA for five days for a business trip/couples getaway. The hotel…read moresurpassed our expectations. Room: spacious for a European hotel. Felt very clean-- housekeeping did a wonderful job. The view of the ocean is one of the best features. The rooms have balconies with seating. Shower: truly one of the best shower experiences. Large, spacious shower with wonderful water pressure. Nice bath amenities including luxury soaps and a towel warmer Pool and Spa: We did not utilize the spa but thoroughly enjoyed the pool area. It was intimate, clean and relaxing. The water is more luke warm bathtub temperature vs. an American hot tub. Location: 10 minute walk to old town, 8 minutes to the conference center and 15 minute walk to the train station. Restaurant: The hotel restaurant has a breakfast for $20 euros. This is the best breakfast option we could find with the most options. We tried a breakfast at a restaurant in Old town and settled for a sub-par breakfast with toast and eggs for $42 euros. Just eat at the hotel. Also one of the few places that serves traditional American coffee. Staff: Helpful and friendly. All English speaking.

This is a review only of the breakfast service here…read more Like all coffee in France, the coffee here is really nasty. Like all pastries in France, they are fresh and fluffy and tasty here. The view is good and that's the only reason to have breakfast here, but if you're strolling along the seafront you could do a lot worse than to stop here. It's great for people-watching!

Camping Du Chateau Lez Eaux is yet again another campsite, which I worked on in France…read more Lez Eaux is a particularly small campsite situated in practically the middle on nowhere in Normandy France. The site is placid enough itself and dare I say quite picturesque. A shop, bar (with internet access) and take away restaurant are all situated on site near the campsite owner's rather impressive looking house. This is one campsite where you shouldn't consider having a car, it's a necessity. Otherwise, you may find that your holiday although relaxing, is rather boring. The layout of the site is actually quite easy to wander around - and it's usually particularly hard to get lost. In this instance, the site is strictly only a Thompson, KeyCamp and Eurocamp. All in all, a nice enough campsite, which certainly does promote rest and relaxation. However, it wont encourage an active holiday - so those with teenagers or excitable children may find this campsite not to their tastes.

Beautiful walk along beach into old town. We decided to eat in old town even though we knew it would be touristy. Took us at least one trip down a dark hall to our room before we figured out how to switch the hall lights on which are timed to go out to save on electricity. Cute room key accomplishes the same thing in the room. I would stay here again.

The hotel is right on the beach...so make sure you get a room on the ocean side. We stayed for two…read morenights, the hotel is nicely designed, the rooms are small, but the view is killer! The bed is firm and the Wi-Fi a bit maddening, but it's quiet at night. The staff seemed friendly but lacked the personal touch we've found in the other places we've stayed. When asked for recommendations on restaurants you get a bit faded copy of the old town area with so many places listed...you are probably better off just going online. It's about a mile to the old town, but it's a nice walk. Free parking on the street. Their breakfast looked good, but was too much food for us so we went to a nearby bakery for quiche and coffee.
