Praise of Jed Hirsch General Building Contractor…read more I have had the opportunity to work directly with Jed Hirsch twice after he was referred to me by another homeowner and two building contractors. I first met Jed when a homeowner I house-sit for was doing an expansion on their home. I was at the house during the deconstruction and construction of it. I can tell you that the site was clean, organized, and well designed from what I saw. As the family was living in the house during construction, steps were taken to keep the property as dust-free and secure as possible. Later, a house I worked at in Hope Ranch was in need of some major water abatement treatments due to poor construction ten years prior. To put it in perspective, most contractors shied away from this job. Others were just not qualified to complete the task. I then asked around to a couple of contractors that I know and Jed's name came up twice. Both said that homeowners love him as he is a sticker to details. Jed and his crew took on the tasks of removing and reinstalling large, two story windows, tearing out and reinstalling beautiful stone deck around half of the 12,000 square foot house, organizing and meeting with water abatement professionals, installing the suggested abatement materials, plastering walls to match the color of the existing walls, designing new sheet metal jambs... well, the list goes on, but I won't bore you with the details. To say the least, it was quite the undertaking, but the house was watertight once completed and it did not look like any reconstruction had been done. It should also be mentioned that Jed arranged the workload of the contractors so that they were not stepping over each other, thus causing making the project as cost efficient as possible and completed in a timely manner.
