Took them to another local dealer and they showed us the incredibly horrendous job they did and they still aren't fixed. Don't take your marine items to this place if you want them fixed correctly. I will NEVER patronize this business again and would NEVER recommend anyone else do so…read more To summarize, brought vehicle in for power issues, discussed it might be alternator, drove in to repair on last bit of power in battery. Replaced alternator for over $500, issue seemed to resolve 4 months later the problem came back. Friday us their "catchup" day so left a message. Never got a call back. Called on a Monday. No call back. Called on Thursday from different phone. Finally got an answer. Without ANY discussion she told me over the phone they did what I asked and replaced the alternator without diagnosing. If I wanted diagnosed it would be approx $50. They had to test in order to send alternator back under warranty though.... even if it was thr alternator I would have to pay $300 for the labor. She asked if I wanted to bring in or not? Told her I trusted them to do the job correctly and wasn't sure if I wanted to continuing doing business with them. She said that's fine, that's what they preferred and hun up on me.

When I finally got involved and started making JR accountable for the work not being done, I was met with a terrible attitude and excuses. After we picked up the truck (in all its pieces) JR gave my husband's number to some random customer because he thought the other customers part(s) may have been put on the trailer with our truck!!! Unprofessional is such an understatement but it applies to every aspect of how this shop and its owner operate! I would NEVER take another car here and would HIGHLY recommend using a reputable shop because whatever work JR does will have to be redone costing you more in the end!!! Spend the extra now on a reputable company or spend it later to have the job redone if you take something to JR's shop.

Gordon was able to immediately come pick up my truck and take it to his shop. He followed up that evening to let me know what was going on, and then the next day he contacted me again to explain that the starter that had been sold to him wasn't the correct one, so it would take another day. True to his word, the next day before noon, my truck was good to go. There had been some issues with my batteries as well, so he tested those and even put a used battery in to see if he could get everything working properly. Sure enough, it all came together just right. The entire transaction and every interaction with Gordon couldn't have been smoother, better, or more professional. As a woman, I've had plenty of experiences being talked down to about "man things." The old cliché about women being patted on the head or taken advantage of by mechanics unfortunately still rings true. I got none of that from Gordon. He treated me with complete respect, was straightforward with me about what was happening, and was friendly and jovial throughout the whole process. His fees were very reasonable and appropriate. Everything from picking up the truck, to getting it fixed, to the final financial transaction was smooth and professional. I highly recommend Gordon and his service.
