I sent that with my child to camp and received a call from my son telling me the nurse refuses to give him his meds. I then grab his medicine bottles and come to camp over 1 hour away. About 20 min from camp I got a call from the nurse practitioner screaming at me today this was illegal, how could I send everything in a pill organizer with a list, they should be in the original bottles and she's not going to lose her license because of me! I truly have never been there before and never received a call or email asking about pill bottles. I explained that everything was in the pill organizer including the detailed list from the doctor. The nurse then yells, "This is illegal!!!!" And then hung up on me! I called the camp back and told the guy what happened. He asked me what he's supposed to do about it? I told him, this was a horrible thing that just happened, and if this person or their staff is okay with treating me like garbage on the phone then how much more are they going to be terrible to the kids! They said, "They will talk to this person but they have been there for 20 years, they were frustrated with all of the pills coming in wrong from everyone, took it out on me, and are old school. I reiterated that it doesn't matter how long they have been there. It's no reason to treat a person like garbage on the phone, scream at them, and hang up on them. This was our first time to this camp and I have concerns about how my kids will be treated. How is this okay in a "Christian camp"? The camp called my churches youth leaders to help me dump out all of my sons meds into plastic bags, and put just the amount of pills for camp in the bottles. This was horrible, humiliating, and done infront of a room full of people. They refused to have me go anywhere near the nurses area. I almost pulled my kids from camp for the week because of this nurse practitioner screaming at me and me being treated like it was all my fault. Meanwhile, I have a grocery bag full of plastic bags with my sons meds. This was demeaning, the guy who talked to me from the camp kept poking my sons meds that I held to my belly (so he was not respecting my space), and overall a horrible experience. I have cried on and off all week because of this and will never allow my kids to go back. This was the most horrific experience I've ever had at any camp!!! How is this allowed at a Christian camp?!?! When he arrived home he missed 2 full days worth of medications and now I have to watch my child for seizures and other side effects for missing his doses abruptly!!!! This is negligence!!!!

When it came time to make the payment, I attempted to pay twice, but both times I was told that the card machine was broken. At the time, I was eight months pregnant. Shortly after, I had to be induced early due to complications. Five days after giving birth, I suffered a severe hemorrhage and went into cardiac arrest. Doctors performed CPR on me for about 30 minutes, and I was placed in a coma for two weeks. When I woke up, I had undergone multiple surgeries and had to learn how to walk again. My entire focus during that time was on surviving and recovering. Because of everything that happened, the payments had completely slipped my mind and I had honestly forgotten all about it during my recovery. During that time, the owner contacted me regarding two missed payments totaling $2,700. She told me that emails had been sent, but I never received any communication. When I explained the medical emergency and everything I had been through, I was met with a very rude response and was told that I needed to pay the full amount immediately or I would be sued. I never said that I wouldn't pay what was owed. However, I was extremely disappointed by the complete lack of compassion and understanding given the life-threatening situation I had just gone through. I was given no time or flexibility to arrange payment, even though I had been unable to work for quite some time due to multiple surgeries and a long recovery. A little compassion and understanding during such a difficult time would have made a big difference.

First of all, I want to give the staff 5 stars…read more We volunteered to work in the kitchen as our kids were at camp. The kitchen staff were great. Mark and Lucy were very kind and professional, Jake, and Elliot were fun and made dinner prep go smoothly and Jacob was all business and super helpful. Fair warning though, working as a volunteer, in the kitchen is fast-paced and no joke! Absolutely hydrate. ITS HARD WORK!! The family cabins are minimalist and rustic. We tried to prepare for the hot weather by bringing our own portable A/c but there was absolutely no way to place this unit using their side-opening windows. It was well over 85 degrees and once it cools off at night, the cabin remains warm until morning. The foam mattress also heats up the longer you lay on it. We asked if they had a cool space for us and they put us in a air conditioned apartment basement offered up by staff members ELI AND KASANDRA. This was quite kind. Camp for kids looks like they were kept busy and as cool as possible. They have plenty of staff watching over them. I walked into both boy and girl cabins to drop off something and the cabins were way to o warm for comfortable sleeping. They use fans. It is not enough in 90 degree weather. I would have paid a little more for my Childrens comfort. Night time is a struggle for my kids and many kids. Offering comfort can help attitudes. Camping does not have to mean suffering in heat. My son did not want to return based on the discomfort (heat) alone. I think a comfort-based survey from the kids may be useful towards repeat business. Again Staff gets 5 stars Comfort gets 2 family cabins too warm and campers residence is also too warm. Please buy air conditioners READER: PLEASE DONATE AIR CONDITIONERS I hope you all find this helpful, God bless.
