Lovely campsite. We stayed here for 2 weeks in our own tent in July 2010 and had a fantastic time. The pool area is very clean and well looked after, and there are normally plenty of sunbeds and/or chairs to go around. There's also a toddler pool which was fantastic for our son. The various wash blocks were all cleaned at least once daily and were always kept in very good condition. They're all modern and up to date, with good facilities for small children, including a dedicated high level bath/sink with shower head which was a godsend. There were also quirky little open air areas with large sinks (only cold water) and urinals, which freed up the toilet somewhat for us ladies! The site is shared between static caravans and touring emplacements, all of which are bordered with lovely shrubs and trees which are well maintained daily and also provide lovely shade from the hot sun and wind when it picks up. I liked the site as it was small but not too small. The restaurant was nice with a good basic menu for eat in or takeaway (including pizzas, lasagne, salads, moules etc) as well as a more adventurous restaurant set menus for those wanting something a little nicer. All the food we had was good. There's also a good selection of wine and beer at the bar, with a small 'shop' area with the basics as well. Here is where you also get the onsite baked croisants and bread in the morning. The park and games room were great for the kids. I found the owners to be very accommodating and great to deal with, making it feel like a family run site which welcomes families. It was nice to go to a campsite in France which was mostly full of French people as well, makes a change from being full of Dutch!
All in all, a great place to go for a relaxing break. The beach nearby isn't fantastic, but it's ok and the cycle trails on the island are the best thing. read more
