My dog loves Camp Bow Wow and so do I. I have an 80lb. mixed breed lab. named Lucky. I can't even say the word "camp" to him or get out his orange collar(it helps us to see him on the video) because he goes crazy. I love Camp Bow Wow because my dog gets to play with other dogs while we are away. The staff will give him kong treats and lots of attention while he is there. There have been a couple of times when I have had to take him on short notice due to an emergency and they have always been accommodating. I love that Lucky can have a bath and a nail trim upon my request(at an extra charge) before he comes home. He plays hard at Camp and gets a little stinky. He smells nice and clean and his coat is beautiful and shiny. I have been taking Lucky to Camp for about three years. At first, one of the best features was live video of the dogs playing. My younger son would miss Lucky and see that he was having such a great time and it made him feel better about not being with him. They have made several improvements over the years such as the outside turf, the ability to make a reservation on-line, and recently adding many training programs. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The owner, Lee, is very knowledgeable. After one of Lucky's first visits he noticed I had brought some dog gravy for his food and asked about it. Lucky was not eating his food at home without some sort of topping on it. If he ate a topping once he wouldn't eat it again. He also had bathroom issues and a lot of dandruff. Lee suggested I buy a better quality of food that had different flavors so he wouldn't get bored with the same meal every day.He suggested a local pet store and Lucky has been eating the new brand without fuss for two and a half years. All of his other problems cleared up as well. We are very grateful and continue to love Camp Bow Wow. read more

I have a miniature pinscher, Axel, that my fiancé and I had just recently started taking to Camp Bow Wow for both day care and training classes. It has helped a lot and I've noticed a big difference in the level of what seemed like uncontrollable energy coming from Axel. He has calmed down significantly in the short time we've been taking him. The staff is friendly and they seem to really like Axel and Axel seems to really like them. I watch the cameras from time to time and more often than not he's playing follow the leader with the camp counselors and really has no particular interest in the other dogs but I can tell he's having fun. Especially when he knows he's going to camp in the morning and he gets all bent out of shape with excitement. Training classes seem to be paying off as well. Classes are small which is nice. More one on one time and less distractions. Andy is very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to taming our beast of a min pin and helping us understand more of how the little doggy brain works and tips and tricks to good behavior and obedience. I am looking forward to have Axel move up the ranks there at Camp Bow Wow! Keep it up! read more

I recently boarded my three dogs at Camp Bow Wow for six days. This was difficult for me to do because they are all seniors and two are on various medications. Harley is a very insecure, nervous Collie. Reese is the alpha in my pack, the oldest at 12 and a Rottweiler mix with back problems and arthritis. Emma is also somewhat nervous and prefers humans to other dogs. Always greeted by CALM staff members. Anyone who understands a pack, knows that high pitched, loud humans make for overly stimulated dogs. While the staff listened to my concerns, I watched them evaluating my dogs. My furkids had an exhausting but fun day and later boarded for nearly a week. I received emails and even photos of my dogs while I was away. I appreciated being able to view them live via the cameras. I was very impressed with comments made by various staff members regarding each dogs personalities and behaviors when I returned. They were clearly observing each one and how they interact within the large pack. Wonderful experience and I look forward to trips to daycare and boarding as needed. read more

Great place, great owners, great peace of mind. Camp Bow-Wow is very different from the other more "corporate" chains with the owner's personal touches, and much better than any typical boarding facility. Although we make every effort to minimize extended time alone in the house for Sailor, and even pay a dog-sitter to come and let him out when necessary, camp bow-wow is both an occasional reward and great place whenever we have to travel without him. It was one less thing to worry about this past winter when we had to quickly and unexpectedly leave town for a few weeks when my Mother was passing away in Florida. They took sailor in indefinitely, gave us updates on the phone, let us watch him on the web-cam when we weren't in the hospital, etc. You just never know when you need them, and when you do, and even when you don't, they are there to make sure your dog is as safe, and has as much fun as they can handle. Price is very competitive, facility is second to none (dogs can even go outside), and run with pride like a home business. read more

Your staff is unmatched! They are attentive, friendly, and really concerned about the safety and care of our "babies". Every interaction is pleasant, even if I am making "high maintenance, helicopter mom" requests :-) Fiona, in particular, stands out as going above and beyond. It's clear that she is passionate about what she does and this is so much more than a "job" for her. The front desk staff is wonderful and the trainer (his name escapes me) is fantastic. We haven't taken lessons yet, but plan to. When we talk, it's clear he really knows my dog and pays attention to the dynamic of the group. The only thing that would really make CBB perfect is non-slip floors. I have a Great Dane and they (along with many other breeds) really benefit from non-slip surfaces for their joints. That is the ONLY improvement I can even think of! So lucky to have CBB! read more

Can't say enough about the quality and care my dogs receive at Bow Wow. They've been there for day camp as well as overnight, and have enjoyed it so well that sometimes they don't want to come home! When away I always receive emails with updates on my dog's stay which is really wonderful to receive. We are currently enrolled in obedience training at Bow Wow after our dissatisfaction with another training group. Our puppy is having a fabulous time, and learning quickly his basic manners. The training is professional, fun and at a pace that doesn't overwhelm us or our dog. The trainer explains in detail WHY we are doing what we do, and how it helps the pup. The class is small (max 5 dogs), which really provides a lot of 1:1 attention and assistance from the trainer. I would HIGHLY recommend the training classes, and already have! read more

I have been taking my Akita to Camp Bow Wow for over six months and I can't say enough good things about them!! It's not just the services they offer (though I think they are really great) it's more the people that work there and the way they treat you (and your pet) that make the real difference. They genuinely care about both you and your dog's experience. They work really hard to make sure everything is perfect; from the first time you come in and meet them to the hundredth time when you run in and just drop off your dog to play for the day (yep, they actually let you do this, and with a smile). I have never been around such a wonderful consistent group of happy people. And, best of all Nikita LOVES going there (which I really think says it all)! Camp Bow Wow has been a wonderful experience for my pup and me. Lady has been at camp since she was 17 weeks old, Lady went 5 days a week for 4 months until I retired and I appreciate the ability to check in on her by web cam. I appreciate all the staff and the fact that they know Lady and her personality. Lady is happy when she goes in and happy when she comes home......how do I know ? All I have to say to Lady is "do you want to go to camp today" and she heads for the back door tail wagging and if I say she'll see Andy, the certified dog trainer, her tail goes into hyper drive. We've taken the behavior I and II and we've both learned much. Lady is well socialized and loves playing with her friends and burning off energy. Best Doggie Daycare in Rochester by far!! An extremely knowledgeable and caring staff, and clean safe facilities for your dogs! All I have to do say is the word "camp" and my puppy goes nuts!! He would live there if he could! He plays all day with other dogs and comes home pooped. The treatment the dogs receive at Camp Bow Wow is by far above and beyond any other day cares in the Rochester area while still maintaining similar pricing. It's definitely a place you can feel good about dropping your pet off at, knowing how well they will be taken care of! Camp Bow Wow is an amazing place where my dog can spend the day when I can't be with him. The staff there is friendly and fun and they truly care about the dogs. Thre days a week my golden retriever plays with other well-mannered dogs (they have to pass the interview process in order to attend) inside and outside. He gets so much socialization and is alway happy when we arrive at Camp Bow Wow. When he is at Camp I can use the web cam to check in on him throughout the day. This dog is not meant to sit home alone all day so Camp Bow Wow is a great alternative. He is one happy camper! read more

Our dog has recently begun attending daycare at Camp Bow Wow in Rochester, NY. We have been very impressive with the thoroughness and professionalism of the staff during our visits. Our dogs eye was bothering her one day and they were hyper-vigilant in supervising her and contacted us to make sure her eye was okay. During drop off and pick ups our dog is excited to come and sad to leave! We are very happy with the hours that they are open and how accommodating they have been. Recently my husband and I sent our Very Active Jack Russell Terrier to Camp Bow-Wow for the day. We were very impressed by the informative staff and the cleanliness of the facility. The staff was very helpful and made us feel at ease. We were concern about boarding our dog with a kennel that would keep our dog crated most of the time and that won't happen at Camp Bow-Wow. They have web cams so you can watch your pet from any PC that has web access. It gave us piece of mind. WeI could see our dog playing and having a great time. Worth the money!! read more

Camp Bow Wow is a great place to bring your dog. They have the dogs play for most of the day. I know if other daycares they only have the dogs play for a short period of time. I have a dog that is classified as a "bully breed" and rather than turning her down for her breed they had her go through an interview process. Its nice to know they give every dog a chance. The staff is great! They are all are very nice. They know the dogs and their personalities which is very important. I would highly recommend this daycare for your dog. read more

We have been taking our dog, Woody, to Camp Bow Wow since it opened. Woody loves it and so do we. A couple of years ago we spent two weeks in Singapore and every now and then we would receive emails with a note from Woody and his picture by himself or with another dog telling us how he was doing. It was a special touch and we really liked it. We have never had a problem with the service Camp Bow Wow provides in all the years Woody has been going there. I have never had an issue. I've taken my dog to another facility closer to my house and it was a disaster. Regardless of the fact it is a chain, I have always felt very connected with the staff. I have seen the same faces for years and feel that they truly enjoy what they do. They have been responsive to issues and I can tell by the dialogue that they know my dog well. Everyone is so friendly and my dog really loves it there. Andy is an excellent trainer and my dog Bruce has really done well with his lessons! Bruce is a high energy 2 year old bulldog who needed a little help with his manners around the other pups. Under Andy's training he was back in play group in no time. I volunteer as a foster parent for dogs, Camp Bow Wow was great for providing a place for our foster to burn off energy during the day. Shortly after getting our foster, I slipped on some ice and broke my wrist and couldn't hold the leash for walks. I loved the cleanliness, and the friendliness. The first day that I brought my dog in, I was greeted by the owner. He made a point to give my 2 young children stickers, and talk to them. I also liked how the other workers were busy doing something. I saw more than once staff members cleaning, wiping things down.
