Lovely nature reserve even when it's pouring with rain, lovely wooded area with the oldest trees in Edinburgh, large green spaces, a beautiful tower, ruins of an old mansion (cammo house) a canal, wildlife, great for a wander or out with the dogs and with interesting things to see along the way. Only drawback for me is there's no toilets and I always need a toilet in or around the vicinity but apart from that, defo worth a visit. I got the 43 bus from Queensferry stop near Shandwick place and google maps tell you to get off at braehead avenue but it was quite a walk back so I would get off the stop before at cammo crescent. read more
