We have gone here twice in three trips to the DF this year (what can I say, we travel for great…read morefood, people, and sites). The shoes here are obviously the big draw, but they also have amazing leather jackets and bags. Even D who breaks out into a cold sweat when buying sneakers is obsessed with their shoes and now owns three pairs. All are super stylish and incredibly well made. Both times we shopped here we were helped by Manuel. He was incredibly helpful and VERY patient with my anxious husband. For those of you visiting the DF with limited Spanish, Manuel and most that work here are fluent in English as well. Though Manuel was very sweet and suffered through my terrible attempts at only speaking in Spanish to practice. We love this store and plan to come back or shop online for any of our shoe needs!

Meticulously displayed in both the display window and on the sales floor. Sells both casual wear and business wear. Average for a well made in Mexico suit jacket, pants, neck tie, socks and a leather belt can be had for less than 2,000 pesos. You know if you wanted to bulk up your closet with business attire, it is almost economical to fly to Mexico City to shop for the items. Better quality than suits at Men's Wearhouse for a much lower price. And you get to spend a few days in always exciting Mexico City! Sales people are super helpful. No one spoke English on my visit to this outlet. Attached shoe store carries good quality merchandise. Prices are fair. Check out the photo of my golf shirt with the musical notes. Located in the posh enclave of Polanco, you can find many of the high-end luxury brands here. The mall is clean, safe, and staffed with attentive workers. I've personally shopped at Gucci, Hermes, and Louboutin both times that I've visited this fine city. I've always had a great experience here. Fyi, the locals in the nicer neighborhoods in Latin America dress The parking is found underground, and there was no hassle in finding a spot. The other patrons are either well-heeled locals, or tourists like myself. Both times I was here with the girlfriend shopping, so I didn't pay too much attention to anyone else. This is a great option for spur-of-the-moment luxury shopping. It's also a great place to get a last-minute gift for a special someone who lives in this fine city. I recommend it.

I am a self proclaimed seamstress and everywhere I go, I must visit a local fabric store. Fabrics here were super cheap. They had everything ranging from low-quality to super fancy fabrics. You chose whatever fabric you want or point it out to someone, and they cut it for you. They don't hand it to you, they keep it behind a counter. You pay for everything together, no matter how many different people you got fabric cut with. I don't know how they keep everything straight but they do, I was able to get some great finds for little over $40 dollars. I am talking about yards and yards of fabric at least 20. I was super happy. Will be back for sure on my next trip to Mexico City!

Coming to Mexico for the first time for a destination wedding was exciting. But that feeling…read morequickly disappeared and turned into despair after unpacking at the hotel and determining that the pants to my black suit was still as home. The wedding was in two days, what am I going to do? How was I going to get a black pair of pants in a foreign land? Checking with the porter/doorman at our hotel, he recommended the department store across the street and that I should be able to get a pair of black dress pants. The next morning, I headed to El Nuevo Mundo for their opening at 10am. I headed to the men's department and the vestir, dress clothes section. I looked through the pants racks and found a pair of black pants that was similar to my suit. The pants were not hemmed and the clerk had me try on the pants and measured me for hemming. He said it would be ready in an hour. I paid for the pants and came back in an hour and my pants were ready for pickup. The pants were just a shade lighter than my suit, but it was close and it saved me for our friend's wedding. The service at El Nuevo Mundo was great! With my limited Spanish, the clerk and I were able to get me the final product in one hour. Oh, the hemming was included in the cost of the pants. The cost? $16US. What a deal! So great our hotel doorman recommended El Nuevo Mundo.
