Poor quality construction. GE appliances for the most part are terrible. Getting someone to do warranty work was challenging at times. Holes in vinyl siding, kitchen cabinet doors uninstalled, hinges on kitchen door to utility room missing. The space for the master bedroom window was not truly square, when you close the window you can tell that at the top, there isn't the same amount of space as the bottom. The window faces north so when the wind blows from that direction, the small gap present at the top let's the cold air in.
Also, the original landscaping company they used, laid sod over the drain completely burying it and not allowing the drainage from the downspouts to flow out. The buildup and freezing of the water over the course of about 3 1/2 years before this was discovered damaged a portion of the concrete in my driveway, as a result I spent a total of about five thousand dollars getting the joints fixed. The townhome next door has a piece of wood permanently nailed to the roof. And my yard is another story. When looking at new townhome construction, be sure to do lots of research.
