Dr. Freya left me with one eyebrow at least one inch higher than the other and a visibly crooked smile after Botox around my mouth. I looked as though I had suffered a heart attack and the right side of my face had stopped working. It was THAT bad (see attached photos). I have received injections in these exact areas for over 10 years from experienced practitioners across the United States, Japan, Dubai, and elsewhere, and NEVER experienced anything like this.
Dr. Freya claimed the complication was rare and blamed my facial muscle structure, advising me never to inject my smile lines again. She took zero responsibility. According to Dr. Freya, the problem wasn't her technique or experience. It was my muscle structure. She was very condescending when speaking to me. After 10 years of successful injections to my entire face and smile lines, I find that explanation to be ridiculous. In my opinion, the problem was her technique and lack of experience, not me. She strikes me as a young, inexperienced doctor still learning her craft. YOU SHOULD NOT BE PAYING SOMEONE TO PRACTICE ON YOUR FACE.
At my correction appointment, she injected additional units of Botox to address my uneven eyebrows, leaving me to wait two weeks to see if it worked. (UPDATE: it did not work and I had to pay for it to be corrected). For my distorted smile, she recommended FIVE CONSECUTIVE DAYS of saline injections to supposedly reverse the Botox, despite saline not being an established fix or repair method. Otherwise, she said I would have to wait approximately THREE MONTHS for my smile to return to normal. I initially tried to be patient and give her an opportunity to correct her work, but this advice was completely unacceptable.
UPDATE: I visited AESTHETIC DOCTORS in Roma Norte, where Dr. Mel fixed my smile and the appearance of my entire face in ONE SINGLE SESSION! Not five days of questionable injections. Not three months of waiting. ONE appointment. I absolutely LOVE my results! This experience only reinforced my concerns about Dr. Freya's lack of judgment and expertise.
Juvenalia Brio didn't just lose one appointment. It lost a high-spending repeat customer. I visit Mexico City at least five times a year and had planned multiple Botox treatments, additional filler, and numerous facials. Every one of those appointments, along with my future business, will now go to AESTHETIC DOCTORS in Roma Norte.
PLEASE DO NOT TRUST DR. FREYA WITH YOUR FACE. Accommodating English-speaking clients means nothing if the medical expertise doesn't match the presentation. I would never return to Juvenalia Brio or recommend this clinic to another woman. If you are considering facial injectables in Mexico City, I strongly recommend Aesthetic Doctors in Roma Norte and Dr. Mel instead.
