Lakeview Church - Praise before At the Movie Series

Lakeview has became the church we visit most often. I love how welcoming they are and how diverse…read morethe church is. The pastors are all wonderful. Lately they have been doing the "At the movies series" where they take a movie and relate it to the word. I truly enjoy these times as it is a very modern way to teach and learn, along with being entertaining. The church turns into a movie theater by dimming the lights, playing snippets of the movie, and offering a snack (bag of popcorn) and water. It is enlightening to take a movie and relate it to the Bible. How amazing? Also, the main lobby has several photo op stations set up which to me is super cool and fun. Pics for memories right?!? Services on Sunday are offered at 9a & 11a. Greeters are usually present upon entering and a coffee stand is located in the main lobby for self service. I love how they offer coffee because I usually don't get my daily dose before church. There is a cafe on the main floor, south end of the building, but I have yet to check it out. This church provides a separate area for babies, preschoolers, grade schoolers and junior high aged kids which is nice because the service can be catered for that specific age. They have two levels. The main auditorium has seating on the first floor and the balcony on the second floor, plenty of seating to accommodate everyone. During Covid, they do have restrictions with every so many seats blocked off. Restrooms are available on the main floor, with a mother nursing room located in the women's restroom. Worship occurs at the beginning of church with singing and musicians. Service can last about an hour and a half. The end of service follows with more worship and optional praying with prayer partners. They offer many services for out reach and being involved in the community. They also offer classes to grow spiritually and become more connected.

It's inconvenient & you absolutely cannot see the screen or the stage in general. There are no TV's angled towards the area for those who unfortunately have to sit up there. The way there's no aisle to go from the left side to the right side also poses an annoyance because you then have a go down 4 flights of stairs and walk to the other side of the sanctuary and back up 4 flights to grab the balcony seat on the other end. (All of this if you don't like saying "excuse me, sorry" to 15+ people) please make the overflow accommodations more accommodating, please. & before anyone responds to my message - yes, I was on time today to the 11:15am it was just a crowded Sunday

They did not accept me and told me that they thought I did not have a close enough relationship with Christ. I only met with them for les than 15 minutes and they made that judgement. Not only did they make that judgement they had the audacity to tell me, a young woman in her early 20s, that she doesn't have a strong relationship with God. Absolutely horrible and unacceptable. I have tried to attend other campuses since but simply cannot attend a church that was so okay with what they did and never tried to apologize or retract what they said. The person who informed me of the decision and judgement added me on Facebook a year or so after and never did anything outside of that. I thought that was odd and a passive way to be sorry. I am not sure how they decide who serves on the worship team or as leaders, but it is not okay. The church seems very superficial and I attended it for years. This is just my story with TPCC, so take it as you wish. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

When reviewing a church....I'm looking for a couple things: 1) do they present God's word in an accurate and effective manner, 2) does the worship atmosphere bring me closer to God and 3) did the operations and people ministering to me as I enter the place of worship reflect God at work in them. Based on these three criteria....I think Northview Church is an outstanding church body. On this visit we rolled into the parking out about 5 minutes before service started. We attended the 11am Sunday service. There was plenty of parking open. We were able to get from our car to in side the facility easily. The facility is very large and spacious. It seemed very clean, organized and well signed. We were greeted by smiling faces and welcomes. We felt welcome and wanted. The auditorium is large with three levels. We sat on the lower level. There was plenty of seating open as we found a seat. The seating was very comfortable. The auditorium is designed so most seats feel close to the stage. The worship time was very organized and very professional in presentation. The music reflects a contemporary top 20 Christian style of worship. These songs are very familiar and make you feel at home. The vocalists and musicians were very talented. The lighting and visual presentation was outstanding. As professional and well done as you would find at a rock show. The campus pastor did a very good job sharing announcements and information in a way that drew you in. The senior pastor presented a very good Bible based and accurate message. His message was very well organized and presented. The visuals on the screen and props on the stage effectively drew you into his Gospel message. The senior Pastor presented the Good news of Jesus Christ. His style was very relational. If you are searching for a good Bible based church...I would encourage you to give one of the Northview campus sites a try!

I mean, who is that desperate that they bring kids into giving money. Overall, I loved going there. My kids absolutely loved the annual 6 week "Movie Night" program and so did I. Great messages, preaching, and you can tell the church loves God which is the most important part!! God loves you :)

We walked in and I took a little video. I read about the church from Lindsay S. under From the business. I really like that they are a progressive faith community that values inclusion. I'd definitely recommend just walking inside if you are enjoying Monument Circle.

You're not a true Hoosier if you live in Indy and haven't ventured downtown for this annual event. But there's obviously more to Christ Church than strawberries, shortcake, ice cream and whipped topping. Christ Church is an Episcopalian church that looks a little out of place on the circle, making it even more appealing to photograph. Snuggled tightly in the midst of several taller, newer office buildings (and near a Starbucks), it's an absolute gem not to be missed. Go inside and look around. Oh, and it'd be a shame to not mention Christ Church Cathedral has original Tiffany stained glass. Oooh la la! According to the Web site: The church was founded in 1837 and the present building constructed in 1857. It is the oldest structure on the Circle and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
