Once I found Relevant Church I instantly fell in love. This was the first church I've gone to that I felt comfortable to sit right up front, actually go around and meet people, to truly start getting involved, and actual gain knowledge I could understand and apply to my life. Carl is an amazing Pastor. The children's environment was what I truly was concerned about. I wanted a place for my girls to learn and find a way in which they could learn about our faith in there environment. Being an adult now learning of my faith I feared not having the knowledge to teach them myself and that is where Relevant stepped in. They love it! The members of the church are all so great. I've also joined a small group and it is an amazing group of people helping me walk in my faith and helps me to dig deeper. I also love the ladies night out, or "The Gathering" to have one night out for just ladies to worship together with no care for those few hours. This is definitely my church home!

Husband and I came from two very different church backgrounds and had a hard time finding something that suited both of us. What struck us about Relevant was the authenticity of the members. It didn't seem clique-y (though, it can be a little now, which is unfortunate), and we found the messages to be truly applicable in our daily lives. Carl is a gifted speaker who can deliver heart-jolting messages in 30 minutes' time. He claims he was once terrified of public speaking, but you'd never know it. The children's environment is nothing short of amazing. My son attended service on the RKids hall from the time he was two months old, and he's three now. The ladies in all of his classrooms loved on him, and he loved them back. He was excited for church every Sunday, and he wasn't even big enough to go on the massive playground! The new building is beautiful, and the teams put in HOURS of effort to create a place where everyone feels welcome. It broke our hearts to have to move away, and we hope to find something similar near our new home.

There are not many options in Griffin, so I felt like I was making the best decision since all of my friends with kids put their children here. Unfortunately, after trying to stick it out for several months, we had to pull our son out because he could not stay well. I will say that I loved the teachers in his room. They were all so sweet. I think the issue lies with management. The Director seemed to be over it. She's been there for A LONG time, and it just seems like maybe she needs to retire. Your child is moved into different classrooms at her discretion - not at a specific milestone - so as a result, my son, who was a walker, was in the room with the crawlers because that's where she thought he should be. I'm not sure if anyone really monitored the health of the children coming in, and once I asked a teacher if parents were required to come get their sick kids, and she told me some parents flat out refuse to pick up their kids. This is extremely unfair to the other children there. Ultimately, we felt that the cleanliness and overall lack of attention to the health of the children that came in and out was and is detrimental to our child, so we took him out. I wish the best for the teachers. They truly loved our son, and for that, we are very grateful.

The traditional worship hymns speak closer to the holiness of God and His glory and praise, rather than "feel good" songs that only satisfy our ego and emotions. The study of the Bible in Sunday School is the "meal" for our soul; learning how to relate to our Heavenly Father with deep study of His word. The message preached by the pastor is simple and clear, based in the Bible as a whole and not just pieces of it, with deep study on the context that connects all events, not just random text verses. The KJV Bible is used and considered the best translation for English language after much study done about it. The fellowship in church is like a family: there is love and care for one another, but there's also growing and challenges to face, as our sinful human nature always tries to get the best of us. It's a place of christian like-minded people seeking to live a life of obedience to God and being a shining light with good example to others. The Children's Church ministry has the goal of preparing a child to face the world's challenges as they grow, learning that God cares for their future but also for their present with the need to learn about God early in their lives. Even though many think that children don't contribute much when they are small, Jesus has always made clear that they are very important, so the church takes the training and teaching of the children seriously. This world's distractions takes a big toll on their growth, so bringing your children to church is definitely an investment to their lives! The Missions support is a big part of the church and considered a incredible way to be part of a bigger work for the gospel reaching all over the world, knowing that who supports missions is being part of that ministry and will reap the rewards in heaven as well! I went to visit this Church on 4/27/2025 and was upset that I misunderstood time for Service....got…read morethere at 9:10 a.m. After being offered a gift bag, I was told that I could sit in the Sanctuary and watch the Praise Team rehearse. I sat in there and it was absolutely amazing from the time I entered the Sanctuary. The Prayer, Sunday School, Praise and Worship the Word Preached was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this Church....I am going back. Also, at the end of the preached Word tons of people went up to get SAVED!!!! They also offered prayer for healing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
