DO NOT GO HERE! The pastor John Kearns twists scripture, keeps the tithe money for his own gain,…read moreand insists on over meddling in other peoples affairs. It's one thing to be a pastor, but it's another to proudly, rudely, persistently and forcefully press into peoples personal lives as if he doesn't have one of his own. Constant late night text messages, he has several fb accounts that he abuses to constantly message you on, he just doesnt stop. I stopped attending his church due to literal unbiblical teaching, and strange behavior and his sermons were the same every week. And it was never about Jesus and repentance. Just about how he controls the weather with his words, and he speaks wealth into his life. And he never gets sick because he has so much faith! Hes stated he would never go to a church if the pastor there ever got sick, because they dont have enough faith to not get ill. Yet it seems his arm is broken and he cant speak a healing miracle over that! He says you dont have poison ivy even if you're red with swollen boils and rashes, until you say with your lips, that you have poison ivy. If you're laying in bed with a 105 fever, and you're coughing and nose running, headache and cant get out of bed, he says you dont have the flu until you say you do! He says you just have symptoms of these things...what? If you leave his church he tells the people in his next service, and blows up on fb that you have the spirit of Jezebel and couldn't continue coming because of the sin in your life. Literally puts it all over fb. When you tell him to stop texting yourself and your wife, he tells you to "deal with it". Hes lazy and doesnt help his wife out when she needs it, doesnt have a job, but has his wife do all the work, then takes pride in being 'the man of the house '. I've seen him in his Tuesday night bible studies( which we never studied, he just boasted about his accomplishments) try to get a lady to become baptized in the holy spirit, and told her to just start yelling jibberish, say anything! Just shout out the first things that come to your mind! She did uncomfortably after he yelled at her for 10 minutes! Then immediately after he boasted that he baptized her in the holy spirit because he led her in speaking in tongues. Needless to say, she stopped attending, thiugh I'm sure him yelling at his wife during another bible study didnt help her decision. I know of my, and several other families that discontinued attending, and because of this he has harassed literally ALL of us and these families through different means of intimidation, even to the point of seeing my wife driving, he pulled into another road and quickly turned his truck around to follow her. She pulled into walmart to see if he would continue after her, she hid in her parking spot at the far end of the lot, and here he comes walking, staring in her direction as he walked inside. He has overstepped his boundaries multiple times meddling in other peoples affairs once they quit his church making his goal clear he wants you to be miserable. So there's that, his preaching is stale and unbiblical, and his guitar soloing is sloppy terrible.

The music was a multi age rock band of modern Christian music. It was very uplifting. The leader of the music group was personable and very welcoming. Not a lot of time spent on announcements or traditional congregation responses, etc. The sermon was excellent! Biblical based, with emphasis on Christ, love, kindness, and working together. This is a progressive, loving, community oriented, congregation. They have a neighborhood thrift shop and food pantry. We enjoyed visiting the thrift shop and speaking with a number of volunteers. We will continue to participate during our stay in Navarre.

It is the most giving church I've ever been to, mission minded, all about loving people! Yes, there are people with money there, but NO ONE is snobby (as the other review claims). They are some of the most generous people I have ever encountered, inspiring honestly. No you don't have to attend Sunday school to be a member, but they do ask that as a member you be involved in the church in some way. The worship is AMAZING, the kids classes are great, Sunday school is ALWAY worth it and God's presence is so overwhelmingly strong at this church.....I can't say enough good things about it!
