I'm not into the fruitless "who's church is better" debate. I believe everyone is going to find nuances and tics that cause them to favor one type of church over another.
But what I am into, however, is sound Bible teaching and high level integrity from leadership. I'm also into seeing sincere love among believers in the same fellowship, and this love operating outside of the fellowship as well.
These are all aspects of Calvary Chapel Manteca I've observed while attending the church for the last three years. Pastor Pat consistently and accurately teaches verse-by-verse through the Bible, avoiding "majoring on minors, and minoring on majors," as he puts it, and providing application from a Biblical perspective rather than what's trendy or via pet doctrines.
The fellowship is warm, friendly, available, and sacrificial, which is the inevitable result of leadership that cares about the people and serves others without hesitation, setting the contagious example that Christ did.
Finally, the gospel is paramount -- the good news is not withheld, and why should it be?
I encourage those who are seeking, and perhaps hurting from past church experiences, to take a look. Even if you don't stick around and make CC Manteca your church home, I can say with great confidence that you'll find a balance of love and truth in this fellowship not unlike a loving family that is eager to embrace one another. read more
