I started here almost 5 years ago and don't even know who the people are he is talking about. The worship is up beat and filled with the spirit. Pastor Kevin is funny and to the point. He loves his job and God and it shows. There is no need to dress up to come here. You can come in a hoodie and sweatpants and no judgement. The church just wants you to feel comfortable to experience God and worship. There is daycare and a mother's room for those with littles. K-6 go to children's church and the jr high and high school crowd also meet. There are small groups that meet throughout the week. Service is at 10:30 weekly. I highly recommend this church.

I've listened to over 80 sermons, and not once has there been a clear gospel presentation. What I did hear is teaching on Lectio Devina, a Roman Catholic mystical practice(contemplative prayer/divination). I also heard man centered moralistic-therapuetic-deism. They believe that "all men are worthy of God's grace".....this is heresy and blasphemous. The book of Romans lays this out specifically. I do not recommend this.....I don't know what to call it.....self esteem/self help country club? I do not recommend the, I don't know what to call him......new age guru, motivational speaker, ego messager, naval gazer? All would be applicable, because he is not a pastor, according to Titus 1. I'm told the church has about 2000 people per weekend counting their online attendance. A long time pastor passed away and the lead pastor now has been there for 7 years. They were friendly folks. The best part was that in addition to the fact that Jesus died for my sins, I also got this free coffee mug. It's an especially sturdy mug with a rounded bottom and nice color. It feels really secure in my hand, and my guess is that it spills less coffee on average than the mugs they have at other churches. As I walked across town, I could feel people's envious stares as they drank from their sad styrofoam cups. I took it right to Red Bee Coffee and told them about the mug and asked them to put a Hawaiian latte in it, and you know what? They did. So that's three great things today - atonement, latte, and most of all my new free coffee mug. Five stars. Would get saved again.

One particular aspect of this community is that they offer their Tuesday mass time in the late afternoon (5:30 p.m.) - perfect for those who work during the day, and find some alone time to get some spiritual nourishment to help them during their week! The rest of the week is at 7:00 a.m., for the early-birds! They are a family-oriented parish that's all-inclusive & diverse, and upon stepping foot, I felt their warm hospitality - especially being a visitor to the area. They follow CDC guidelines, such as social distancing from pews (every other pew is blocked off), contract tracing at the entrance, and temperature checks - ya'll are safe! Too bad I hadn't been able to come here pre-pandemic, since they had a full schedule during the week & had a late-night Sunday evening mass that I would so look forward to going if I was in the area! A hidden gem for those who needs a place of prayer - whether you are religious/spiritual - it helps to have that place of comfort, of quiet & stillness, yet being in a community that aspires to be a better individual in life. Looking forward to attending mass here on Tuesday evenings whenever I get a chance, and I'm along the Central Coast! I still have to attend a weekend service here; it's just that the Old Mission in Downtown SLO has been my preferred place of worship even before COVID! Guess that gives it away being my favorite go-to California Mission! Haha. :)
