I just got married 2 weeks ago, and I am so, so glad my bridesmaids, Mom, Mother in Law, and Aunt got our hair and makeup done here. Katelyn was warm and welcoming, and has a knack for knowing exactly what I wanted and was picturing without me even being sure myself. She was calm, cool, and collected when I was nervous. She let the bridal party bring food, drinks, and music and said "the shop is yours while you're here! Enjoy your morning!" Everyone was beautiful, and hair and makeup looked great, and stayed put for the entire ceremony. Katelyn and Erica were both amazing and I am so happy with how everything turned out. Super disappointed by the $50 (plus $10 tip) for an effortless hair cut by Rebecca. I understand she is trying to build her business but rushing a first time client out of the chair, not going over desired specifics, not using any product and using less than a 1/2 hour visit is guarentee enough that I will not return. Can't recommend highly enough! Great local place willing to squeeze you in on a weekend. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere with great stylists. I saw four other haircuts while I was getting mine and every woman (range 20s to 70s) looked fabulous - short and long styles, too. This was helpful for me because I had just lopped off 10" for Locks of Love. Fortunately, I had an appointment with Erika, and she understood that I was a little ... not nervous, but anxious about how things would come out. She evened everything out, leaving it as long as she could, and gave me lovely, yet easily manageable layers and angles. And she didn't mess up my bangs. Which isn't easy! Highly recommend Caliente. I went in for a walk in men's haircut, was warmly greeted immediately, and told exactly how long it would take to be seen (it wasn't long). My haircut was with Katelyn, the owner, and she was awesome. Very friendly, super easy to talk to, and she gave a very fine haircut. She sat me down in the chair before the cut to review how I wanted it and without much direction from me she inherently knew what I wanted and how to do it. She's quick and very competent. I absolutely love salon caliente! I have been coming here for over 2 1/2 years. Both Katie and erica are amazing hairdressers and really take their time with their clients and ensure that they are happy. The salon is always very clean and looks nice, they always have decorations up depending on the season. They also are very flexible and will accommodate their clients in any way that they can. Caliente did my hair for a recent wedding I was in. I was the maid of honor and from out of town so I knew nothing of this salon before coming here. I was absolutely blown away by their work! I really was impressed with every single hair style these ladies did. Some of us bridesmaids had ideas of what we wanted and some did not. They replicated what we asked for and came up with beautiful looks on their own.
