Been a customer with a large balance with PNC for 30 years. They've done a number of things over…read morethe years that irritated me, but now they've taken the cake and we're in the process of moving our money elsewhere. It's well known they impose arbitrary limits on wires, size of checks you can deposit with mobile deposit, etc. Those I've been able to get around. Irritating though. But now they've decided after 29 years they should withhold interest. I tried to resolve this over the phone but they seem uninterested. Must be nice to not need depositors. Still waiting for that return phone call ["well get back to you in a couple of business days"]. In my days as a manager (40 years), people would have been fired the day this complaint came in. If you want a bank that basically doesn't care if they upset good customers, this is the bank for you. Otherwise, run away. Filed complaint with CFPB. Also complaining to banking regulatory agencies in 2 states where they have a presence. In case you're wondering, we're moving to SoFi, something we should have done a long time ago.

My Nephew received an insurance check from Progressive that is drawn on PNC Bank. I sent him to one…read moreof their branches in Charleston to cash the check and they told him because he doesn't have an account with them they were going to charge him $140.00 to cash the check that was drawn from their bank. I believe this is against the law and am notifying the FDIC. I have never heard of a bank refusing to cash a check that is drawn on their bank. I know they try to get you to open an a with them but it's not required
