Maybe good if you're a large company with several elevators to maintain and they "give" you a…read moreservice contract. However, if you're a residential customer with one elevator, stay away. They refused to discuss a service contract for maintenance with me. Then when a switch went bad it took three trips to get it replaced and they billed me full charges for all three trips. I told them on the initial call for service what switch I thought was bad but they didn't have it available on the first service call, then had the wrong one on the second call, then sent a "team" on the third call. It took a month and cost $4,762 to get a switch replaced. I begged for some type of partial credit but they didn't even do me the favor of replying to my emails and calls. For 30 years I have managed commercial Real Estate buildings for a living and have never seen such outrageously poor customer service.

I would have to agree with Russell C's review of this company. We had a dumbwaiter installed…read moreduring an addition to our home in Baldwin, and relied on a recommendation from our contractor to use McNally. In retrospect, it would have been cheaper to pay the extra cost of using a company in Traverse City or Lansing. McNally continuously delayed the project by canceling scheduled installation/set-up days, at one point not even bothering to call to tell our contractor they wouldn't be there. For the final set-up, it took three weeks to SCHEDULE the work, with a time set two weeks following that. What's more, the switch is malfunctioning, and their answer to a maintenance call is to tell me to do it myself. These people never return phone calls, and the only way you can get any response from them is by hounding the President Tom McNally. They take no responsibility for their work, and constantly make excuses. We're looking for a variety of ways to seek recourse right now, given the significant cost of a non-working dumbwaiter.

Previously a big fan of this business, I now feel horrible for recommending them to friends and…read morefellow farmers. I initially went there because it was the only place I could get Merrick calf nurser nipples, but liked their all-milk milk replacer and the unmedicated scours boluses they carry, so I kept going back. I don't know if there's been a change of ownership or management in the meanwhile, but our last few experiences there have left us at the "Never Again" point. Back in January I called to order 2 ton of steer pellets to be bagged, stacked on pallets, and wrapped. They told us to give them at least until noon, so when we arrived at 1:30 ish and they had no idea what we were talking about, we were irritated, but willing to work with them. We rearranged our day, and wasted two hours waiting for them to get their act together. (Apparently the girl who a took our order neglected to put it on an "official" Post-It note, so it simply didn't get done. Fine, understandable. Crap happens, regroup and deal). Next time I called -- ordering 4 ton this time -- I double checked and triple checked before making the hour drive. They were still bagging when we arrived after our scheduled time, but at least our order wasn't a total surprise to them. While waiting, we struck up conversation with one of their employees. He asked why we didn't just have the product delivered in bulk, because he "delivered down there all the time". Good to know. Fast forward to last week. Trying to dodge between raindrops since pellets and rain don't mix well, I called to see when they could deliver. I was told that they couldn't get to it last week, but to let them know when we wanted the delivery this week. I was quoted a price of $650 per ton, plus an $80 delivery fee. Perfect. No need to explore any other options. Or so I thought. I called this morning to arrange delivery by Wednesday morning. The person to whom I needed to speak wasn't available, so I left my number and waited by the phone. Three hours later when I didn't receive a return call, I called them again. Explaining what I needed, I was told that they weren't able to deliver. At all. Ever. Apparently between last Thursday and today, Monday, their delivery truck became too decrepit and unroadworthy to make the 57 mile trip. So now I'm left scrambling, and when I told "John" as much, his shitty attitude didn't help any. I literally hoped he'd choke on his smarmy "Have a nice day". Given their incompetence, lack of communication, and don't-give-a-damn attitude, if you're looking for a good place to buy your feed and herd health supplies, look elsewhere. I know I'll be rescinding my recommendation of them to everyone I know.
