They also give you the same stickers for frequent customers (Buy 10 get 1 free), just ask for it. The only frustrating part with Sakuraya is the size of the cup. It just doesn't fit in the car cup holder. So either finish it before leaving or drink it when you reach your final destination otherwise you may have to deal with picking up boba from your car floor.

The Eight Mile Plain Sakuraya is exclusively a dessert/ drinks bar and a popular one at that. Even though it only opened last year, this shop has a faithful following lounging around in the indoor/ outdoor dining area, sipping drinks, munching on those glutinous Japanese rice balls and just people watching in general. They do the usual assortment of pearl milk teas and fruity green/black teas. When I went last weekend, I wanted to try something a little different so the waitress recommended a Winter Melon Yoghurt drink. This was perfect for the hot weather but I would only recommend it if you enjoy drinks with a distinct sour sweetness such as Yakult. They also stock a range of gelati that I've never heard of called Norgen Vaaz though I'm willing to give it a go if it is as tasty as their drinks range.

My husband loves the Lychee black tea with coconut jelly. It's nice and sweet, but doesn't leave you feeling too full or sickly like the milk teas tend to. What's special about Tea ETC is they let you pick your tea, pick the temperature and pick your sweetness. I'm not sure if people like to drink their tea hot, but you can request ice to make it super cold. They serve it without ice otherwise. But I think the ability to pick your sweetness is great! I'm weening myself off sugar in other areas of my life, so to be able to ask for my Bubble tea with only half or quarter sugar is fantastic.

To my knowledge I have tried almost all of the bubble tea bars in the Sunnybank area (I am such a fan!). I consider myself, quite the bubble tea connoisseur now. I've been back to Tea Etc a few times to order as many different flavours as possible to 'test' it out. I have found that some bubble tea tastes good here, but then also some bubble tea they make don't taste as good as their fellow neighbour Tea bars. For example classic flavoured Bubble Tea like their Milk Tea, tastes yummy and sweet, but then the Taro Milk Tea is passable. Not as delicious as other places I've been to, it's a bit too watered down for my liking. On the few occasions where my favourite go-to bubble tea places are closed and I can't resist a tasty drink, I come here to give it another go- but now, I know which drinks to avoid. An advantage Tea Etc has over some of its neighbours is it is open for an extra hour and a half. While others have closed up shop at 9pm, this place still has one hours and half of service left. This is important to me because, I usually start dinner with friends at around 8pm and often get carried away and forget to order bubble from my favourite place (which closes at 9pm). So when this does happen and if often does on disorganised nights, I wander on over to Tea Etc to have their Milk Tea.... Luckily, they never ruin this classic flavour.

And I must say it is much classier, with a lot more thought put into the design of this place. So, on to Gong Cha: service is fast, cleanliness is excellent, menu range is huge, location is ideal, prices are decent. What more could you want? It's exactly what I'd expect from a place like this and exactly what I got. Not to mention the very cool surrounding restaurants which I'll check out later ;)

I really feel like this Sakuraya makes better drinks than the Sakuraya at Warrigal Square!…read more I have tried the taro milk tea and I'm not a big fan of it. It has a funny after taste. But the mixed agar milk tea? I AM COMPLETELY HOOKED. I have found my all time favourite milk tea! The mixed agar milk tea with 1/4 sugar is perfection! The milk tea has a good amount of tea taste. There's two different types of jelly in there; I believe it's coffee jelly and something else. It's so worth the $5.50! Something that I like about this place is that instead of using stamps on the rewards card, they give you stickers. They give you one sticker for every drink you buy. The stickers are always really cute! NOTE #1: This Sakuraya closes later than the one at Warrigal Square. I believe they close at midnight. NOTE #2: Don't be fooled by the long line. It passes by fairly quickly
Always packed with thirsty/hungry people no matter what time of the day (yep, even at 10pm),…read moreSakuraya clearly is the place to go to in Sunnybank to fulfil your bubble tea hankerings. After a busy night of eating (what else?) we were in dire need of something sweet to top it off. And sweet is what these guys specialise in. Grab a [very extensive] menu and jump in the queue. Hopefully by the time you've reached the front of the line you'll have made a decision. They have a huge variety of herbal teas (hot or cold), yoghurt teas, coffees, hot/iced chocolates and, of course, milk teas (taro with fresh taro pulp, hello!). The serving size is, um, generous (HUGE!) and service is surprisingly speedy. They work on number systems (kind of like at the deli in Coles or Woolworths) and they call out your number and bring your drinks and/or mochi over. Yep, that's right - mochi. They have original mochi (red bean paste filling), vanilla and tiramisu mochi. It goes down a treat with a hot red bean matcha (grab a spoon if you order this, as there's a mountain of red beans lurking at the bottom of the cup).
Great tea and especially the price is cheap ^^ compared to tea in Sydney.

My friend and I tried 3 or 4 food stalls that ended up already being closed but there was no signs at all to notify people... We finally found a place that was still open named Rice Town. It's on the corner opposite the bar. I believe it's Chinese food. Because they were about to close, they packed it in take away containers. I'm sad because..it was super salty. Like salt laden. It was not crazy bad (MSG?) but to the point you wish you had water to wash the saltiness all down :( I prefer Panda Express 10 times over. It's not a bad place to be I guess when all of the stalls are still open. But the staff should honestly have 'closed' signs available. Staff knew we were in front, but didn't even inform that they were closed till 5-10min later -_- we had to ask them too + this happened at 4 different stalls.

I like the noises of humans and the smell of wok sizzling. I did enjoy abit. It feels like surrogated Asia. I have pork belly in white bun and some coleslaw. I thought it was Chinese cuisine but turned out it is Japanese. The buns and coleslaw were good. But I'm missing out the high notes of that charcoal grilled pork belly. Okay, I'm sorry that I forgot the name of this stall. But don't worry, the best part of 8 Street-all stalls display the cooked dishes in front of their stalls. And for some reasons, you still cannot find it. Feel free to drop a Yelp message :)) There are so much to explore. So choose a meal critically. But oh well, you can always come back for more meals!
Volume of food = Fantastic value. The first thing you'll notice when you order anything from here…read moreis the sheer size of the bowls and plates. They are absolutely humongous! If you're not terribly hungry, trust me, a small bowl of pho is more than enough. Everywhere else this "small" size would be a veritable medium while the medium would exceed a large. I've tried both the spicy beef noodle soup (bun bo hue) as well as the broken rice (com tam) with grilled and shredded pork. The bun bo hue was packed full of different cuts of beef steeped in a mild soup. The noodles weren't pho noodles but rather a more rounded gelatinous noodle that reminded me of a white spaghetti. Overall, it was filling and the soup was all right. However, there wasn't anything particularly stunning about the meat nor the other vegetables that were treated almost as a garnish. The broken rice consisted of the pork surrounded by an egg-meat loaf, fried egg and several slices of cucumber and tomato. On the side, there was also a fish sauce and chili mixture that is drizzled on top. Again the food was ample albeit a bit heavy on the rice but nothing really stood out. The pork was a little dry and the meat loaf just didn't seem to be seasoned. What makes this place average, however, instead of 4-star good is the service. The entrance is small so lining up means queuing up outside. The waiters tend to bark at you to 'come in' or just stare unhelpfully until you find a seat yourself. Getting your order taken is also quite a challenge. Overall, the staff just don't really seem to mind how you get your food as long as it eventually arrives. Bottom line? If you're willing to bear the abuses, Pho Hien Vuong is a good deal for the price.

It also had peas and carrots in it, which I've never seen before, but it tasted pretty good and cost around $11 including rice. The mince pork in black bean sauce noodles was pretty good, and so was their bubble tea. They had taro milk tea with real taro in it. So good! And matcha milk tea with real matcha, for the same price, I think $4.50. The decor is typical Chinese restaurant, nothing fancy, but clean enough, and fast enough service but with no frills. I would eat here again based on the value for money and would definitely order the bubble tea again.
