We decided to drive by and glad we went in because their ice cream is yummy, business info just needs to be updated online. Glad we did - they had so many good flavors, staff was happy to give samples, the ice cream was a great texture, and the scoop sizes were generous! Two people can definitely share a two scoop, or even better a brownie sundae that comes with two scoops, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle. The entire family loved it and can't wait to come back. Looks like they also have a great food menu with sandwiches made with their own sourdough bread! Lots of good indoor and outdoor seating, in addition to a large playground for the kids. We'll be back next time we're in the area, probably for lunch and ice cream!

We tried the cinnamon bread and the brisket sandwich. The cinnamon bread was decent, but I still prefer the version at Dollywood. The brisket sandwich was okay, too, though I'd pick Buc-ee's brisket over this one. Overall, it's worth a stop if you're traveling through. If you're heading north on I-65, missed Buc-ee's in Athens, Alabama, and just crossed into Tennessee, Dolly's is a good place to take a break and grab a bite.

I wanted to stop at Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop while I was on a road trip to check it out,…read moresince I did like Dolly Parton, and was sad after she passed. I love stopping at BucEe's when I come across one, and I knew Dolly's was offering travelers a fun option in Tennessee. In my opinion, there is no comparison. Dolly's is easy to find getting off I-65. There's a large parking area off to the side, and I think an area blocked off by brightly painted and decorated concrete barriers for 18 wheelers. Walking into Dolly's, you're automatically transported into a space full of every kind of Dolly Parton knick-knack, or souvenir. The guitar chandelier is cool to look at, and hard to miss. I didn't get any food during my stop so I can't comment on that, I do know there wasn't much of an aroma of food to entice anyone. If you're needing gas and wanting to check out a travel stop that is original, Dolly's definitely offers that. I did buy a few souvenirs to say I stopped at Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop. The staff didn't seem to be as friendly, or welcoming as the staff at BucEe's or even Love's which was a bit of a surprise. It's a cute place to stop and check out at least once, in my opinion it's a place that may be more meaningful for Dolly Parton fans.

I had the fried peach pie with vanilla ice cream. It was amazing. The pie was great, the ice cream was sweet and creamy and rich, and they were even better together. I enjoy driving an hour plus for a good hamburger in a small town. I saw the episode on Tennessee Crossroads about this place and their great 1/2 lb hamburger. The hamburger was large, but very bland. No seasoning salt or anything. The fries cost extra and they were tasteless. I put a great deal of salt and ketchup on them and was still wanting more flavor. A very disappointing experience to drive that far and not enjoy the food. Burger with fries cost $14.50. At that price point I expected more.
