This is the best place to get fingerprints! My wife needed them done and they got us in right away. Shahin, the owner is so sweet and kind, and made the process flawless even though my wife's hands were not capturing. We had so much fun talking for 30 min after about her family and mine and it was such a wonderful family feel. They were extremely clean and were very sensitive to the COVID-19 environment and made it safe. This was such a nice touch. Beautiful work guys! 5 stars++++++++++ read more

I came here as a walk-in to get some finger printing done. Shahin was so kind, funny, and efficient that I referred my friend, who also had a great experience! The services were also much more affordable than other locations I checked like the UPS store. Definitely returning for future needs. read more

Have been doing business with Cal Budget for years. When u find good business, especially a mom and pop one i try and support them over big corporations. Yang and his family are pleasure to work with and provide great service. Their fees are more reasonable than others and they always take time to answer all my questions and find me best rate. Give them a try, u wont be disappointed! read more

Easy, breezy service. I worked with the lady named Shahin. She was fabulous. She really knows her stuff. I brought my tax headaches to her, and she assured me all was going to be ok. She was really good at figuring stuff out and getting back to me when she said she was. Great follow-up. Her prices are fair and competitive. I will be coming again next year. I've recommended all my friends and family as well. Highly recommend ! Their location is easy to find in Central Clairemont off Balboa. read more

Shahin is the best! I came to her (starting last year) after my tax person moved. She is conveniently located in central San Diego. She is friendly, patient and kind. She is very knowledgeable and I felt confident she could handle my taxes. I should also note, she was a lot quicker than I thought. My taxes are a bit complicated since I run a business but she handled them in a breeze. I came to her for a 2nd time this year during this whole COVID situation. Her office is clean and there is a plexiglass shield between us while she works. Love that! Thanks again, see you next year! read more

SUMMARY OF DETAILS BELOW: STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. They do not act in the best interest of their clients! My parents made the mistake of going to Shahin Setayeshgar, at the beginning of March, to file their taxes. They provided her with the IRS EIP document and mentioned to Shahin that they did not receive the credit. Instead of Shahin filing a Recovery Rebate Credit, which would have made her MAIL in the taxes, she decided to select they did receive the credit so that she can continue with e-filing, to her benefit, and not her client's. When I asked her why she did not MAIL the forms in, she said it takes 3 weeks for the IRS to receive the taxes, which would then be considered late - WHICH IS NOT TRUE. As long as the postal stamp is dated before April 18th, the taxes would not have been considered late. When I asked her why the documents were not mailed for the second time, she said she no longer wanted to talk to me and called in her next client. Now, we have to figure out how to go about amending their taxes. I will make sure we report this firm (using form 14157), as they do not work in their client's best interest, but in what is convenient for them. read more

Great customer service. Thank you Shahin for great advice . I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation.

Shahin has helped my family with insurance through the years. My son just relocated to CA and had his first experience buying a car. I connected him with Shahin and she was patient with his inexperience and walked him through the process. I find her to be efficient, professional and kind. A good resource is worth their weight in gold. read more

A friend introduced Ms. Shahin Koohkan to me and that is how I ended up calling into this tax company and driving almost 40 minutes to meet her. I have met a couple of nice and helpful tax assistants within the last 10 years. This year my tax situation was a little bit complicated, I purchased a home recently and had no idea how to deal with home related tax form and also my husband has lived and worked in another state all year long due to his job situation. Unfortunately Ms. Koohkan was not nice at all and was not willing to help. She mentioned my tax will takes longer and she has another customer right after me. I was even ok to pay more if timing was the case. She started asking questions like why you made appointment with me not with your last year tax preparer? My answer was because I was not very happy with what he did, i had a hard time getting my tax return and it took longer due to a typo mistake he made. Her answer was "since your paperworks takes long time your previous assistant was frustrated and you probably paid him less than what he deserved so you better go back to him and ask him to get your tax done"! She even had no idea about my previous experience. She asked why my husband is not living here with me! What kind of marriage is it?! She told me my marriage is illegal since my husband lives in a different state and she is not comfortable helping me getting illegal married filling jointly tax done!!! I was shocked hearing all her words. She was so rude, not nice and her attitude was not professional. I understand tax preparer ask questions in order to help their clients better but questions she was asking were NOT her business questions! All she needed to know were written on my W-2 and home document/tax, mortgage,... If I were her I would defiantly say your paperwork takes longer and you may end up paying more and we need to stop when my next client shows up and will continue with your filing after she/he is done instead of ignoring a new client who could be a forever client and would definitely mind my business not asking very personal questions! I have to mention that this is the first time I am writing 1-star review for someone. But her attitude made me disappointed. She not only mad me sad but also made my friend who introduced her to me to feel bad and says sorry for introducing her to you! I feel so sorry for her and wont recommend her at all. After that I went to a local tax office in my neighborhood and an assistant got my tax done without any drama! read more

Gave me the best rate in town for my car a couple years ago. Called to get a quote on motorcycle insurance and she told me straight up that the quote I already got from another co was the best I would find and I should buy it. She did not hesitate to recommend what was best for me over what makes her money. She is warm and caring, and is great to do business with. What a great experience working with Shahin. read more

Called into this tax company because I needed assistance with amending my taxes this year because I had additional forms come after I filed electronically online. I was told that the "Professional" tax accountant was to busy to assist me and to go and do it online. 1040X cannot be filed online, it has to be done manually. They basically shunned me away. I will not go to them for any tax service or give them any business in the near future. read more

Shahin is the owner and is by far the best at customer service for such a costly industry we dread to take of. She truly cares and does what is best in your interest. I needed to change my policy for a new 2018 lease. Im young and the quote she gave me with my current insurance company was pretty high. I was still in my current policy, but needed to pay something until it was up to renew my 6months. She reassured me that she will be looking into cheaper, better, insurance companies that will have lower rates. I felt secure and relieved she was immediately wanting to help. Most people would not go the extra mile, but she helped me right then and there on the phone. I hope her business continues to thrive. We need more people like her in this world. read more
