Aaron and Sheena were terrific from the tasting to the post-wedding dialogue. Aaron was very friendly, re-assuring, and helpful at the tasting (even recommending the florist we ended up using). Sheena prepared amazing food, much of which we chose to serve during the reception. At the reception itself, Aaron and his staff were exceptional. The guests were treated quite well and never had to wait long for food or a drink. Everyone commented on how amazing the food was and our special-order vegan friends were amazed that they got a delicious, full meal as they are used to eating undressed salads at most events. The party was still in full swing when they cleaned up to go and they were so unobtrusive and professional. We ended up keeping the bartender a couple hours extra because he was so good! I cannot recommend Aaron and Sheena enough. My husband and I are already planning some events and will definitely only use The Grand Gourmet! They made our special day perfect!

Nothing in the contract was delivered and we paid 4000.00 dollars for garbage we threw out. From our first meeting there the staff was amazing from helping with accommodations to every detail in helping to make our day about us. Even though I know we were not the only couple getting married there it felt like we were. They made us feel so special. After we booked our day, they invited us to their wedding extravaganza. We were able to taste the food, meet the DJ, see the flowers and meet the staff. It was so great to be able to do this and meet the vendors before our wedding. They took so much stress off of us the week of our wedding. Our planner helped with our rehearsal at the church and was at the church to greet us the day of our wedding. They had refreshments for us and our bridal party waiting before the ceremony. They even helped direct our guests from the church to the Hazlehurst House. Once we arrived for the reception they had food and drinks waiting for the bridal before and after pictures. They made us feel so special. The DJ was amazing at introducing us to getting everyone on the dance floor. The food was amazing!! All of our guests raved about the food, staff, DJ, planner, flowers. My mom loved that she only had to carry her shoes to the car. The staff loaded all the gifts for her...so thoughtful and sweet. The whole Hazlehurst House team made our wedding day the best day of our lives. We highly recommend them for a wedding venue!!! Ryan and Ashley

They have a variety of sauces available, I personally like the sweet sauce but my husband said the hot sauce was great too. We also tried the baked beans, potato salad, Brunswick stew, and our very picky 3 year old got the chicken fingers and Mac and cheese. This is a kid who won't eat chicken if it isn't chick-fil-a and she ate her WHOLE MEAL! The Mac and cheese tastes home made and is creamy and not dried out. It's honestly the best Mac and cheese I've ever had at a restaurant. The potato salad is savory but delicious, it almost has a smoky flavor to it but has a mayonnaise/mustard base. The Brunswick stew has a little spice to it but not too much, I could've just had a big bowl of it and been happy. My husband ate all of the baked beans before I could try them...so I assume they were equally delicious. The meats can be eaten without the sauce and they have flavor that is complimented by the sauces. Even the garlic toast was good. My family literally ate every bite of food on the table. The restaurant was clean, the bathrooms were spotless (which is important when you have a toddler who touches everything), the food was amazing and the staff was great. I literally have nothing bad to say about this place other than it is sadly too far away from my house to come here more frequently. But we will definitely drive back just to eat here.
