The ambiance was pretty mid, nothing that really stood out one way or the other. What really disappointed me was the customer service at the end. I accidentally left my to-go box on the table with most of my sides still in it. I realized it about 10 minutes later and called the restaurant, but they told me it had already been thrown away. I understand mistakes happen, but considering a good portion of my meal was in that box, I was disappointed that the only response I got was, "Sorry." It would've been nice if they had at least offered to replace the sides or provided some type of credit. That would've gone a long way. I want to share my family's first and last experience with this restaurant. Based on what we saw, the restaurant appeared dirty and poorly maintained. There was food on the floor, messy areas, broken chairs, and we were very concerned about the cleanliness of the drink cups. My wife ordered oysters and a Cajun boil, and my son ordered fish. The food did not taste fresh, and the quality was very disappointing. When we contacted the restaurant about our concerns, the supervisor or owner, Jean, was extremely rude and unprofessional. Jean, your behavior was completely unacceptable. As paying customers, we contacted you with serious concerns about the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Instead of handling the matter professionally, you yelled and screamed over the phone because I made it clear that I did not want a gift card. I want a refund. I do not want to return to a restaurant that I believe is unclean, and I do not feel comfortable eating there again. A gift card does not resolve this issue. This situation should have been handled with respect, professionalism, and accountability. We had already taken the food home and had to taste it before realizing how bad it was. This was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Cajun Crab in Shalimar, Florida. As a local resident, I will not return or recommend this restaurant. I spent nearly $100 on a dozen lightly steamed garlic-butter oysters, a country boil, and a 1 fried grouper basket. Unfortunately, the quality of the entire order was well below expectations. The oysters were dry and overcooked, with no noticeable garlic butter or seasoning. The shrimp in the country boil were overcooked and rubbery, the potatoes were hard, undercooked, and tasted old, and the crab-leg portions were exceptionally small. The food was overpriced for both the quality and portion sizes received. I contacted the restaurant immediately and spoke with Sophia, who said the manager was unavailable but that she would contact her for guidance. After receiving no return call, I called again approximately 30 minutes later, but the manager was still unavailable. When I eventually reached the manager, Jen (Huiling Weng), she initially communicated with me through an employee named Michelle. I was offered a $20 gift card and told that nothing more would be provided. I explained that this was unacceptable because I did not intend to order from the restaurant again. I requested a refund and even offered to accept a partial refund. When Michelle finally came to the phone, she stated that the restaurant's policy did not allow refunds. When I questioned that response, she began yelling, insisted that there was nothing wrong with the food, refused to listen to my concerns, and ultimately hung up on me. When I called back, she refused to speak with me. Michelle stated that she did not understand why the manager was yelling, that customers inside the restaurant could hear the exchange, and that she believed the order should have been refunded. The poor food quality was disappointing, but the manager's unprofessional and disrespectful behavior made the experience even worse. Really solid spot for a crab boil -- the food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the prices felt totally fair. You can make it spicy or mild and can do this on the side as well. The menu listed alcoholic drinks, but unfortunately they don't have their liquor license yet, which was a bit of a letdown. So Disappointing - We Won't Be Back As locals from Destin, we were really excited to finally have a Cajun-style seafood boil restaurant nearby. Sadly, Cajun Crab in Fort Walton Beach was a huge letdown. We visited on June 28, 2025, and spent $150 for just the two of us--no alcohol--and still left hungry and frustrated. The food was poorly prepared, the prices were outrageous, and the service from our server Rita was terrible. I ordered 2 lbs of green mussels and 1 lb of headless shrimp. My wife got 1 lb each of snow crab legs, clams, and black mussels. I specifically asked how the corn and potatoes were served and was told "1 corn and 2 potatoes per pound"--like other boil restaurants we love. But when our food arrived, we only got 1 corn and 2 potatoes total for everything. I had to pay an extra $10 just to get what we were supposed to get in the first place. The biggest disappointment was the sauce--it was watery, thin, and oddly soup-like. The green mussels were mushy and slimy, with several too sketchy to eat. I threw out at least 10. Even stranger, they added raw broccoli to the boil--something we've never seen. My shrimp were the only decent part. My wife's crab legs were rubbery and nearly impossible to crack--a total fail for a crab boil. We've enjoyed great meals at Crafty Crab in PCB and Cracking Crab in Pensacola, but this place doesn't come close. We really wanted Cajun Crab to succeed--but after this experience, we'll never return. Save yourself the money and drive to a real seafood boil spot instead. read more

The one star is simply for the server at least being kind. The wait for the food was ridiculous and the quality of what we were served - just unacceptable at the ridiculous prices. The fried mahi mahi was so overcooked and paper thin. The "cajun" fries were clearly frozen seasoned fries with zero spice. The hushpuppies, while having the most flavour of our meal, were so overcooked. Excited for our yearly trip to the area, this place was a disappointment after a long day of travel. read more

I didn't get what I ordered. I ordered the Dungeness and snow crab combo. Which is just the two crabs and corn and potato and got snow crab and crawfish combo. Which would have been fine, but I really don't like crawfish at all. I will def try them again as I enjoyed everything. Hopefully they get it right next time. read more

Every bite was packed with seasoning and just the right amount of heat. On top of that, the service was outstanding. We got our food in under 10 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise for a seafood boil. Our server was extremely nice, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. If we want something altered or something not on the menu, they do their best to do what we ask. We enjoy the small family atmosphere and nice wait staff. We're on vacation & the kids choose this spot. Its fairly new. We had a cup of spilled 3 times while trying to get our food (1st by one of our girls, next two times by the server who made a statement about bringing some kiddie cups back w/lids). The food tasted ok, it wasn't seasoned well but if you dipped it in the sauce then it was ok. I was in a bad mood from being wet from the water, I could not enjoy my food. Let's start by saying this is our first time in the Fort Walton Beach area. We were looking for a seafood restaurant and stumble upon the Cajun Crab. We did not know what to expect but the service and the food was amazing. Rita was the host of the year and the food was the best I had tried this year. The seafood boil was phenomenal and flavorful. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and they were piping hot and juicy!! Rita provide up a sample of gumbo and Conecuh sausage. We wanted to try everything after tasting these delectable food choices. There are not enough to describe the customer service that Rita provided to us! The Mango Mousse was the topper after eating so much food!
