I just moved into my first home and boy has it been different from renting! First and foremost, I…read morehad to buy window coverings. I went through a downtown Seattle shade retailer and had custom shades ordered. And through this company (The Shade Store) I met Gene, their contracted installer. Turns out, Gene is the owner/installer of Finest Blinds and he's been awesome to work with! I've had to request for a few changes to my blinds because we have cats who keep getting tangled in the cords, so no issues with the product, just issues with our cats. When I contacted the company for advice regarding the issue they were quick to loop me back in with Gene and have him install some anchors in the walls to keep the cords safely out of the way. This is also ideal for dogs and kids. And because these shades are well made and were installed perfectly, I expect them to last for many years. Even possibly after we're long gone and moved on from this home. So these shades are not only handsome and well-made, they're safe for other families and owners in the future. On all three visits to my house (quote/measurements, installation, and return visit to install anchors) Gene has been extremely amiable and polite. And on this third visit to fix the cords he didn't even charge a fee. Awesome! On all three occasions without hesitation he removed his shoes, he left absolutely no messes or dust, and during the install (because I work from home) we made pleasant small talk. I've found him to be extremely kind and hardworking and really enjoyed chatting with him about his job and company during his brief visits. It can sometimes feel uneasy to have a stranger in your home when you're there, or even not there, but that's not how I felt at all with these installs. Even if you don't go through vendors he works for, I'd highly recommend seeking Gene out to install whatever window coverings you have. He's got all the right high tech tools for taking measurements, he's clean and quiet, and his installation fee was extremely reasonable. Best of all, he uses Square so you can pay with a card on the spot and then the job is paid and finished! I see him around the building I live in while he installs other tenant's blinds and he remembers me and says hi. Really nice guy!
