Best food we had during our recent 5wk stay in Sweden…read more I grew up in the area and now live in California. I remember this place as a small ice cream kiosk and was pleasantly surprised during an evening walk when I discovered that the kiosk had been extended and turned into a full service restaurant. We met up with some friends for dinner and had to wait for 40min for a table. I think You can make reservations? Next time I will try. The menu has great variety. Fish, steak, chicken and pasta. As well as some salads and soups for appetizer. I had steak, my husband chicken. Our friends had pasta and fish. All dishes were way over what we had expected. 5+ ! Very fresh, tasty and impressive. Took away 1 star for very slow service. They were busy, looked like they might need to hire some more staff? Overall a GREAT visit and we're excited to come back again next summer.

I also loved…read morethe view and the uniqueness of this old victorian era summer home (that's been converted into a confectionary.) It's a nice idea for the location! However, the whole place felt really run down and messy. The lawn was littered with random cheap lawn furniture to sit at. The building inside and out needed a lot of cleaning and repair. I was a little sad at how unkempt the place was. This could be a really nice spot if they just put a little funding into it. It always makes me a little sad to see a beautiful historic building fall into disrepair. I think this place is owned by the city and they supposedly put a bit of work into it, but I don't think they could really afford a proper restoration job. Call me sentimental, but it's just a bit sad. I really wish someone would come and breathe some new life into this place.
