We stayed 8 days in Obidos and went to have lunch at Os Felipes every single day. I was so delighted by its food and by the overall friendly atmosphere of the restaurant that I decided to write the first review ever about it.
Just don't go there if you are expecting sophisticated dishes or some set-up for tourists, at Os Felipes you eat the same food the rural workers have for lunch, fabulously fresh ingredients cooked by and for locals in a very honest and simple way.
It is a well-known fact how restaurants in Obidos are overpriced. Just an example, we had a Bacalhau com Natas at Os Felipes for 4,90 eu; the same dish was 11,90 eu at another restaurant within the walls. Not to mention the good selection of Ginja they have. Os Felipes is definitely a great option to eat when in Obidos. read more
