It was definitely not as cosy on the inside, I got flashback to the boring café milieus at uni. That said it seems like a popular place for all ages and yes there were a lot of students there too (surprise). Good value for money lunch buffet and food for vegetarians/vegans too. We shared a vegan pie which was really nice, much nicer than its looks, with tofu, carrot and onion filling. Really simple and very flavourful. In fact, despite all great vegan food we enjoyed in Helsinki, this is still the pie my partner still remembers most fondly. The chocolate cake and chocolate muffin - huge! we could have shared one - on the other hand were really not nice at all, very dry and lacking in flavour. Free wi-fi and dogs welcome, which are always two extra plus. Apart from the great vegan pie of course.

I had a delicious cappuccino and a cinnamon roll in the afternoon, the atmosphere was lovely and…read morerelaxed with quiet music and multi-lingual chatter. I was surprised by the variety of drinks and foods they offered (including breakfast, lunch and the salad bar)! I can highly recommend Bergga to anyone who enjoys a quick break in the middle of the busy city-life or a long relaxed hang-out with a book or a friend.

American visiting Helsinki here. I woke up at 4:30AM this morning jet lagged AF, so naturally I…read morestarted "the scroll" to find places near my Air BnB that might help fuel me through. Sävy was a short walk, and the coffee shop I found that opened the earliest. Though it's listed as being open at 7:30, they actually open at 8am. I showed up at 7:47, and happily waited the extra 13 minutes until they invited me in. (What else am I going to fucking do with 13 minutes?). I ordered a breakfast combo that included a croissant, granola/yogurt bowl, and upgraded my coffee drink to a double cappuccino. The barista asked me what perfume I was wearing because apparently I smelled good. I remarked that it may have been the woman ahead of me, but it happened to be the dude's girlfriend, so he was pretty sure it wasn't her. I wasn't wearing a fragrance but the air BnB had a Linden Blossom bath wash...anyways. I was feeling good about smelling good even though I felt like shit. I digress I was stupid hungry, so I demolished that croissant before my coffee drink and granola bowl was ready. It was buttery, flaky, fresh and delicious. "On point" as the kids say. I was too tired to remember to order oat milk with my coffee, so I drank it with whole milk. It was rich, and chocolately like I like my coffee drinks. I might pay for the whole milk later, but it couldn't be worse than the airline food I had yesterday. So fuck it. The granola bowl with yogurt was legit. Breakfast here just hits different. The presentation was great, and it had the perfect ratio of fruit, honey, and cinnamon. I had a little more time to kill so I ordered another single cappuccino with oatmilk this time (internally convincing myself it would offset the whole milk drink) it was also delicious. Additionally, they have a pretty dope music playlist, wi-fi, and cool art on the walls. I'll be coming back every morning until my stay here is up. Kiitos, Sävy

One of the best specialty coffee places in Helsinki. The service is laid-back and friendly and it is really a nice place to hang out in. It is sort of outside the city center but if you happen to be in the area it is a must to visit and I would say for anyone interested in coffee it is a definite stop if you happen to be in Helsinki.
