The location itself is perfect -- minutes walk from the main plaza. The restaurant has a nice clean and modern feeling with both indoor and outdoor seating. The tapas are divine -- each one I tried was delightful -- the croquetas being the best I have had in Spain. Most recently, I ordered a hamburger, reasonably priced at 6 Euro, and hands down it was the best hamburger I have ever had outside the US. In fact, better than many I have had in the US. The service is excellent admist a culture that isnt sevice oriented. Each wait person I have met is kind, friendly, helpful, and has gone out of their way to make this blonde from Seattle feel right at home in Zaragoza -- one has wven gone as far as to google things for me to teach me about food words that were lost in translation. If you are in Zaragoza -- do yourself a favor and have a drink and dine at La Lola. How desperately I want to pack the restaurant and its staff into my suitcase and bring them all back to Seattle -- where I am quite certain it would be a dashing success! We tried the migas, morcilla (blood sausage), lamb, and two croquets (one with pasta, another with risotto), and they were all really good. The interior is also very cool, with lots of bull themed kitch to look at.
