The atmosphere is trendy, modern, cool - with white walls and white furniture, you feel like you're in some sort of prototype BMW dealership. The menu is seasonal and decidedly upscale in presentation. You're not going to break the bank with your order, but the M1 Cafe is a definite step up from the cafeteria options across the street at BMW Welt. At lunchtimes on weekdays, it appears that a lot of the tables are reserved for BMW higher ups in their suits and pantsuits, but if you can snag a table, the food options aren't bad for what is essentially a museum restaurant. A variety of cakes and pastries sit at the far end of the bar as dessert options. Pleasant interior and exterior seating. Solid food. Surprisingly decent prices. Definitely not a bad place to grab a meal while visiting the Welt.

It's got a garden with seating outside for warm days and it's been done up quite nicely. The interior is very nice and done up with old world charm and it has a really nice feel to it. The menu is fairly good with breakfast items, crepes and cakes they make in house. I chose the Bircher muesli and it was served in a big bowl with lots of fruits on top. I enjoyed it very much. The coffee was also decent and I enjoyed it. Service was polite and friendly and the ladies at the counter were also very friendly. All in all a good experience and I would happily come here again. You wouldn't find it unless you go looking as it's all by itself amongst a bunch of residential buildings. Worth a try.

The sandwich I had was a Sundried Tomato Bagel with Parma Ham, Cream Cheese and Rocket and I really enjoyed it. The cappuccino I had was also quite nice and creamy. I would happily come back here for lunch now that I know such a place exists short walk from my office :-)
