I usually don't eat breakfast, so it was just about perfect. I had the Alm (all cheese) breakfast, which comes with 2 bred, a couple of cheese slices, Butter, etc. Very tasty cheese and bread. It always makes me laugh when you have an authentic Italian cafe no matter what country you're in.....yet no Italians are there. In Ingolstadt, that all changes. The city is already one of the nicest in Germany, so sweetening that up with a little Italian cafe makes it even better. Simply put....they make great coffee here. One of the better I've had in Germany. They also have a nice food selection for small snacks and light meals. Focaccia bread pizza, pannini, etc. There's also a full bar if you come back in the evening. Overall just a great little place to stop and take it easy or meet up with friends as I did. You'll see a lot of Audi employees fueling up here before heading to work. That's good because they know where to go! Plenty of outdoor seating makes warm days very relaxing and unlike anything I could find at home......they got warm wraps to borrow if you still sit outside when it's cold. Only downside is that it gets packed inside....especially when a soccer match is on, and the bathrooms are really tiny. Just be aware. Extra tip: Try the lemon soda.....so good!

A cute little place to sip on coffee or have a bite to eat just outside of the alstadt. When I am…read morewaffling between 3 and 4 stars, I ask myself...would I come back here again? To give something a 4 star, the answer would have to be yes...if my answer is no, the rating must be a 3 star. You can see what my answer was for Cafe Mohrenkopf... It isn't that the coffee was bad...it was actually quite good. It isn't that the pastry was bad...it was pretty good. It wasn't that the service was bad...it just wasn't memorable. There are several other places I would try out before I would return here. Or I would go to my very favorite place smack in the middle of the alstadt. (Out of respect for Cafe Mohrenkopf, you'll have to read my other reviews to figure out which place this is...) The bottom line...If you're walking by and you're going through coffee withdrawals, go in and get your fix. But if you're looking for something heavy on personality or quality, it's probably best to keep on walking.
