This cafe is a hidden gem! Very cute setup inside with a large outdoor patio. I got the medium roast drip coffee and my mom got the Paradiso latte. The drop coffee was good but the latte was reallyyy good. We didn't order food but the paninis we saw at other tables looked delicious. The staff was so nice and friendly and continuously cleaning tables as guests were leaving.

When you first walk in, you notice that it has a very cozy and antique feel to it. There are lots of paintings on the walls. Definitely has an old-school Italian vibe here, minus the Italian mob. Operation is standard as other cafes: walk to the front counter to see the menu and order. The barista will take down your order and will bring it out when ready. We get to choose where we sit, similar to Starbucks, but this place is more original and less corporate. They brought out our drinks first. I got the Caramel Mido Latte drink. It had the whipped cream and caramel design on top - you know, those squiggly line things. The latte was made perfectly. It wasn't overly sweet or bitter. Just right for me. Then the #2 Ferrera Panini came out. It was a delicious blend of salami, cheese, mustard, and other things. The Ferrera Panini was crunchy, hot, and you can taste the freshness. You cannot go wrong with this. I got the choice of potato chips as my side. Lastly, I got a small Cannoli for my dessert. It's a custard cream. It has powdered sugar, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup on top. It was delicious because it had the right sweetness to it. Everything I had was a delight to my taste buds. I talked to the barista and he told me that the business has been opened for 11 to 12 years now. The owner is a real Italian guy who came here as a teenager. This is definitely a hidden gem. I wouldn't have come here if not for me looking up cafes on Yelp - yay for Yelp! From the cozy feel, freshness in the ingredients, to the fair pricing, it's a win all around. Definitely a good place to check out when the weather is nice. Or bad, when you need that hot cup of coffee. Do yourself a favor and check out this place!

Good coffee. I had mine with lavender syrup and it was very good. Reasonable prices. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Italian based cooking grocery is available in the store. Friendly people. I would go back again.

One of my favorite place to grab a coffee with a friend. The coffee baristas make a prefect beverage, served in cute, individual cups. Save room for their delicious pastries and treats!! You can also shop a few great items, such as pasta... so cute!

We made a reservation (not necessary on a Thursday night) and the back of the restaurant was so pleasantly dead quiet, we could actually hear each other speaking. Our waiter was quiet and attentive and lovely. We ordered the zucchini appetizer, probably the best zucchini frites I've ever had, the eggplant parm and the lasagna. The lasagna was good but left something to be desired. The eggplant parm was exactly the way I like it. The tomato sauce is light and tastes like fresh tomatoes. The eggplant was crisp without being oily. We will definitely come again.

Our server Patricia was attentive and told us about the menu and some things not on the menu. The complimentary bread at the start was very good. Just the right amount of crunchiness at the outside but very chewy on the inside. I love it. Mussels in white sauce was good. The bucatini pasta special that had sausage and broccoli rabe in white wine and garlic sauce was solid. Flavorful and not very heavy. Tiramisu della Famiglia was okay. The homemade pistachio and chocolate chip bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was huge. It's meant for sharing with at least another person. The contrasting warm pudding and cold ice cream were good. I liked it! Would definitely be back.

It's not a fancy place if you are looking to impress on a date but it's open and nice and clean. The food and service are very good. Sometimes they are very busy and the servers are really running around. Both times we had the same server and complimented him because he was great. I could not believe we could get a nice entree which came with a very fresh salad (get the house Italian dressing! Yum!) plus a side and complimentary fresh bread for $29!! Both times I had to bring part of my meal home as I could not finish it and would never waste such good food. Both times I ordered Veal Principessa and it was delicious. Cook properly without overcooking the thinly pounded veal and the large side of fried zucchini was hot crispy and superb- which is partly why I couldn't finish my veal. My husband had the tuna steak puttanesca both times (also superb) with a side of pasta which was plentiful and we just added a little grated cheese to it. Both the chicken parmesan and another chicken dish our friends ordered were large portions and they both really enjoyed them. The restaurant has pizza, calzones, subs and lots on the menu which we will have to try at some point, but tonight I'm going to try another entree which I know will be great and once again, I'll get some fried zucchini as my side. Looking forward to it! If you've never been, you really should go. As others mentioned, the owners are true Italians and so many of the customers are regulars. You don't keep going back if you aren't satisfied!!

We're started out by sharing the Spanakopita appetizer. The pastry was warm right out of the oven and the yogurt with spices made the dish simply mouthwatering! Our main course selections of shrimp kabob and Greek pasta were prepared to perfection. Now onto the drinks...our margaritas were the BEST! We were able to have them made with our favorite 1800 tequila which only enhanced the flavor. My husband and I felt forced to order a second round of them!! The service was excellent. Our waitress Kelsey possessed such a pleasant and effervescent personality which made our visit that much more fun! The decor was tasteful and layout of tables was such that one did not feel too crowded or confined. This restaurant may be about 45 minutes from our home but well worth the drive! We encourage everyone in the Richmond area to take a chance on a culinary adventure unlike any other at this incredible restaurant the Grape and Vine!
