Although the customer turnover is high (think fast food chains) but the atmosphere is positively lively and medium to high end(ish). At this particular shop the staff has been pleasant and (as you would expect in this part of the world) VERY child-friendly. The only downside is the presence of smokers in this mecca of afternoon culinary delights. This is arguably a divisive issue but at some point I personally hope they will take notice of the world having moved on... My only other wish is international expansion for this brand!!!

The gelato flavors were so fresh and intense that making your selection from the numerous choices will be extremely difficult. They are willing to give you samples, but even that won't make things any easier. You will just have to return to try all of their flavors. Aside from the full, fresh showcases of gelato, they also have numerous of fresh-looking cookies and pastries. There is seating both indoors and out for you to enjoy your treats. If you happent o be returning from the "Maldives of Salento" you NEED to stop here!

If they have the cassata Siciliana, you should definitely give it a try. Why can't they make desserts this good in NY? The only problem is, you never know when these places are open or closed. I think for the most part this bar is open and stays open pretty late. Don't be too disappointed though when you drive there and see the gates are down. It has happened and depression definitely set in!
