I don't speak Italian, but after ordering an espresso and going outside to sit down, a young woman with dark or black hair in a ponytail came outside and told me I have to pay extra to sit outside.
I heard this is common practice in Italy so no problem and I paid it, but after I left, my brain processed that when she initially told me this in Italian, I caught "cinquenta" (50 cents) and after when she realized I didn't speak Italian, she said "oh you didn't understand what I said? It's 1 Euro extra to sit outside" (in English).
