Although the customer turnover is high (think fast food chains) but the atmosphere is positively lively and medium to high end(ish). At this particular shop the staff has been pleasant and (as you would expect in this part of the world) VERY child-friendly. The only downside is the presence of smokers in this mecca of afternoon culinary delights. This is arguably a divisive issue but at some point I personally hope they will take notice of the world having moved on... My only other wish is international expansion for this brand!!!

If they have the cassata Siciliana, you should definitely give it a try. Why can't they make desserts this good in NY? The only problem is, you never know when these places are open or closed. I think for the most part this bar is open and stays open pretty late. Don't be too disappointed though when you drive there and see the gates are down. It has happened and depression definitely set in!
