The concept…read morebehind this ice cream joint is that they make the chocolate in front of the spectators who can gawk through the large bay windows. The chocolate fountain with three options of liquid chocolate is the first layer to enter your cone. Then you can select the gelato and toppings as well. The concept was cute, but I expected to be blown away by the gelato's flavor...but I wasn't. At about 17 euros for four simple cones, I don't think I would return. I understand the fact that it IS in Gallipoli, but there were so many better options in smaller, neighboring towns that this didn't wow me the least bit. To add insult to our expensive injury, they wouldn't allow us to sit at the few empty tables outside or inside...because it was after 9? Also, the gentlemen working at the windows almost seemed annoyed at the fact that people were watching them....as if they didn't think people would want to snap a picture of them making chocolate at a touristy establishment wearing funny looking hats...
