Came here for an afternoon lunch. Cute restaurant/coffee shop with a chill, speak easy vibe from the 1920's era. Very classy place to hang out at with friends. It's a clean restaurant with British drawing room type furniture, so one of the chairs was a little springy. Service was a little slow but it could be due to all the customers ordering lunch items. The egg sandwich and walnut chocolate chip Belgian waffles were delicious. Loved the way the tea was served in your own individual carafe. Really allowed you to sit there and enjoy your tea. They have a solid menu of drinks and food items. For drinks, they have the espresso beverages, coffees and teas, but they Eden have boba, Italian and French soda, smoothies, and fancy bottled sodas. You could even get Shakeology here if you wanted a healthy lunch, or get soup or any of the sandwiches. Would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

The place is quaint, charming, and I felt a bit Parisian walking in here. I wished I came during the day so I could fill up on some delicious coffee, but I didn't. I came in for a quick bite to eat before going to the Beer/Wine Fest at the Farmer's Market that night. I soooo wanted a sandwich, but they don't offer any with gluten free bread..bummer :/ I did however, enjoy the Spring Salad: Chicken, Craisins, Walnuts, Feta Cheese,and Tomato. Honestly I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!! It is the cutest little café. They have yet to disappoint me. I highly recommend the Big Cheese there. Also, I just tried their strawberry rhubarb pie for the first time yesterday......and it was DELICIOUS!!!! The bread on the Big Cheese is from Crust. The pie was also from Crust. As far as coffee goes....the Spring Fling is to die for!!!! It is a blueberry lavender latte. I know what you're thinking, ew that doesn't sound very good. I thought the same thing, but that is all I get there now. Some of my friends get the vanilla latte, and they like it. Also, thumbs up to the baristas that do the latte art. It is incredible! My husband and I were dating when we first found Cafe Rhema. Now, it is one of our favorite places to go. Although, they never have bubble tea which is my favorite, they have many other delicious drinks and pastries. The atmosphere is a great take on the 1920s in today's society. Love visiting this place. 7 minute walk from work, and the BEST pick me up for a long day ahead. My lattes are always great; the only place I've over had foam worth sipping (maybe even the best part-it's amazing.). I've only gotten food a couple times, but it's always been fantastic. Really cool atmosphere. Service is good; very friendly staff. They have an interesting drink menu, with a lot of variants of coffee/espresso drinks. They take their espresso seriously. They're also the only place in the Flint area that serves bubble tea (it's decent). The food is nothing special; they don't have a full service kitchen so everything is cooked in a toaster oven. The prices are ridiculous. A regular drip coffee is something like $3.00. Overall, very good, but not an everyday kind of place. read more

The girl behind the counter was so patient with us - explaining everything - and was great with the kids. I wish I'd asked her name so I could give a shout-out. I like this place. The severs are kind and the products good. My only complaint is they are a little pricey when the surrounding places sell the same products for less. I visited this shop today to try the bubble tea. It's about four bucks a drink, so I was crossing my fingers that the drink would be enjoyable and not a waste of money. I ordered the iced mango bubble tea with milk tea... and was not disappointed. It's so good! So good that I had to write my first online review about it. Pros: Lovely interior. Soap in the bathrom smells nice. Helpful drawing of coffee types on the wall. Friendly staff. Cons: My mother said the 'bubbles' in the tea reminded her of fish eyes. I fell in love with Cafe Rema when I walked in the door. The decor and overall atmosphere was stunning! The menu was simple and affordable. The staff was not only great at their job, but they were kind and attentive as well. My husband ordered the Cherry Waffle and White Chocolate Cherry Mocha while I ordered the Ham and Cheese Croissant and Raspberry French Soda. The drinks were hands down the best I've had in the area alongside with Shadrach, Meshach and ABeanToGo. My husband love his waffle that was loaded with fresh cherries!!!
