We grabbed a really cute table between the umbrellas and antique tea cups. I loved that this was an antique shop and breakfast joint! To be honest, I wasn't really sure what I was ordering but we pointed to a couple of items (turns out something like a potato quiche as well as a pastry) and asked them to be warmed. I also got a cappuccino. The coffee was fine, the quiche was so good! My husband and I argued over who got to take the last bite! I won obviously. But we should have just ordered a second! Then, the food: we just had appetizers which were amazing but whatever I saw looked and smelled fingerpicking good. The service was great with a good sense of humor. Sadly, we had to leave for Munich - and I wish I had stayed. One of the best places I have been to in years. The cover art lends a very inviting international literary culture. I could sit here for hours, especially in the little seating cove I found. Any port in a storm will due, but this would be my choice if there even was no storm. Great service and music choice.

The bagel wasn't just a round piece of bread with a hole in it. And the jalapeño cream cheese was actually spicy! The interior of the place reminded me of cafés I would frequent in high school and college, except all the text and language being spoken was German, similar brown walls and menus with colored chalk. Felt like a homecoming for me. Seating is quite limited, or intimate if you want to out a positive spin on it. Not sure if they have wifi. I think they do as I saw a guy with an iPad. And for you single guys out there, the male to female ration seems quite favorable!
