When I saw it on Happy Cow (the website for finding vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurants worldwide) I hoped it was going to be a good experience. One of the staff (the owner?) told us she is vegan herself, but it is not just a vegan cafe. Lots of options for vegetarians and meat eaters, too. I couldn't find a website for them but they have uploaded a video showing their cafe at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYE2-d4dAzg They had five cake options when we went in (all vegan), and my husband & I shared an apple pie and a chocolate and banana pie, and also took a slice of chocolate cake to take away! I asked for an iced coffee and was offered the choice of having it 'German style', which was to have some ice cream (non-dairy) in it! I decided this sounded amazing and opted for this, and it was a delightful unexpected extra to my caffeine hit. We had a roll with smoked tofu and salad each, and we also had the option of a cashew nut salad but we felt satisfied with all we had ordered. However, that didn't stop us getting a Vego bar on the way out (a big chunky bar of hazelnut and chocolate heaven). It was a great little find in a small town, with friendly (English-speaking) staff and food options which would hopefully suit most diets.

I sat outside on the street, but it looked nice inside with ample seating and they also had outdoor seating in the back. I came in for the gelato which was AMAZING - fresh, smooth, great flavor. They had a nice selection - I went with fruity flavors. It was so good, I also tried the tart. Again, amazing and homemade. I will definitely return and recommend this to others. If you want fresh, clean food, this is a great spot in Bad Windsheim.

They do their own roasting which you can watch, and during the holidays they will do Santa leaf art on your latte or cappuccino. I got a latte, excellent quality for 60 crowns and a homemade croissant for 30. A bit steep maybe but for the area I don't think it is unusual. The location in right on one of the main colonnades so it's well connected. The space is a good size, has an upstairs and counter spots, plenty of outlets to keep connected as well as free wifi. If wifi is your only reason to go here though beware- it isn't very strong you may have to ask for it to be reset. Otherwise a nice, clean, comfy spot in the direct center to experience some awesome coffee grinds and homemade treats.
