This is a typical corner shop that has been converted into a café and a great job they have made in doing so. The place is airy, light and spotlessly clean with the bulk of the kitchen being in full view added to which there is plenty of room to sit, there are no plastic, fastened table and chairs seats. The food is as good as it gets and in this case better than most. The meal I had (cannot remember name) consisted of baked beans with chopped tomatoes, fried herby potato cubes, slices of sausage and ham in a pyramid topped with a sunnyside egg and most important it was free from grease. In fact you would have trouble discerning if the meal was fried or grilled. My meal and a drink came to £5.20 but the average is around £3.50. I visited at lunchtime but am not sure of their opening hours. read more
